Transport
For the third year running we have not increased transport cost. All transport, transfers shall remain the
same.
Entrance into the National Parks
Park entrance fees shall remain the same as last year except for Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority.

Programme A:
This is the usual Lake Natron tour. Operation of this tour shall depend on the security
and weather situation at that particular time. Please note that in order to do this safari,
there should be at least two vehicles or more.
Programme B:
This programme ends at Serengeti and comes back to Ngorongoro, Natron is done from
Mto WaMbu instead of Lobo.
Programme C:
Another alternative to Lake Natron is Lake Eyasi. We introduced this programme in
1998 and since then many groups have liked it.
Programme D:
This has been introduced due to regular demands from clients. It gives clients a chance
to see the second largest lake on Earth in combination with the normal
Ngorongoro/Serengeti tour.
Programme E:
Due to high demand from clients we have created this tour. It combines both
Lake Natron & Lake Eyasi. Note that it needs one day more.
Programme F:
In addition to the normal tours, this tour includes walking in the
Ngorongoro Highlands, trekking The Oldonyo Lengai in combination with the Wildlife
safari. For quotation and booking please contact us at least a month in advance.
Programme G:
We introduced this tour three years ago to meet the growing need of those clients who
would like to finish their tour with a hiking/ community extension. It includes several
hiking and walking tours on the Usambara Mountains. Groups/ individuals that have
done this tour have liked it a lot. We recommend it.
Programme H:
Many Tour leaders requested for a tour with the ‘three lakes’ – Lake Eyasi, Lake
Victoria, and Lake Natron. We introduced it to fulfill their passion
Programme I: New: We faced a lot of tour leaders wishing to combine the tours of their choices
with a full day of cultural tourism – but facing a problem of time limitation,

13 Days Tarangire/ Ngorongoro/ Natron Walking Safari.
Explore Tanzania's wilderness on this cultural walking Safari off the beaten track. Highlights are Tarangire National
Park, the Empakaai and Olmoti Craters, the sole active volcano of Tanzania Oldonyo Lengai and the Lake Natron
with its huge populations of flamingos and a beautiful waterfall. While exploring the wilderness on game drives by
car and by foot, you will have plenty of opportunities to meet different ethnical groups, and you will be fascinated by
their knowledge of the nature and traditional way of life. See map.
We overnight on Safari in tents on campgrounds.
Day 1
After meeting at Nairobi Airport, transfer by shuttle bus to the Arusha Tourist Inn/ McElly’s Hotel in Arusha/
City Link, where you have the day for leisure. We'll meet for an introductory briefing to clear last details of your
Safari starting tomorrow. Dinner.
Day 2
After breakfast we head to Tarangire National Park, where we reach around noon. We pitch our tents at a campsite in
a remote area of the park. First impressions of an African landscape we get on an afternoon walk close to the park
border
Day 3 & 4
Half day and full day Walking Safaris guided by an armed ranger, or game drives in the park. The park owns a rich
bird life, depending on season you can see elephants, zebras, wildebeest and even lions. A visit to Tarangire,
whatever the season, is full of experience. Overnight at our base camp
Day 5
today we leave for Ngorongoro Crater, where we reach for lunch time. After a picknick lunch we descend to the
crater floor by car, for an afternoon game drive. A game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater is one the most impressing
Safari tours you can do in Africa. At evening we camp at a campsite at the crater rim.
Day 6
Early morning departure to Olmoti Crater for a half day walk. Often we meet Maasai herders on our trek to the water
falls of the crater.
At afternoon we proceed to our base camp at Empakaai Crater.
Day 7
The views along the trail downwards to the crater lake of Empakaai are spectacular at every point.You might see the
buffaloes or bushbucks,blue monkeys and many birds.It is a joy to walk around the lake shore,experiencing the
serenity and quite beauty of this wild spot.Overnight at the base camp

Day 8
From Empakaai we are starting the Walking Safari to Lake Natron. We descend the outer hills of the Great Rift
Valley, walk through the open plains of the Embulbul depression, until we reach our campsite at the village Naiobi,
where you have the great opportunity to meet the local Maasais.Ol Doinyo Lengai and Mount Meru are seen along
the way. Donkeys carry our luggage.
Day 9
We proceed to Oldonyo Lengai the sole active volcano of Tanzania, the "holy mountain" of the Maasai. After 4 hours
of walking we reach the foot of the impressive mountain, and pitch our tents (or at Moivaro/ Kamakia) campsite
at the nearby Lake Natron)
Day 10
Around midnight we start to climb the mountain (to avoid the heat of the sun). After the steep climb we reach the top
at sunrise at 2450 m height. From here we have great views of the surrounding landscape, Lake Natron, Mount Meru
and even Mount Kilimanjaro.
The crater itself offers an unique spectacle. You can descend in the crater floor, everywhere it is bubbling and
steaming, small volcanos inside the crater produce streams of molten lava. Camping at the campsite at the foot of the
mountain (or at Moivaro/Kamakia campsite at the nearby Lake Natron).
Day 11
Trek to the NgareSero River, who flows in the Lake Natron. In contrast to the surrounding dry landscape, here you can
find a small paradise. After a strenuous walk up the stream, we reach the source of the river, in cascading waterfalls the
river gushes out of the mountain. Overnight at the Moivaro Campsite /Lengai Lodge Campsite.
Day 12
At 0530hrs drive to Lake Natron to experience the Sun rise and watch the flamingoes.
After breakfast we depart with the car to MtowaMbu. Here we visit a project initiated by the SNV, an eco- tourism
development organisation of the Netherlands. We spend a day walking around the Great Rift Valley escarpment.
Mountain with lush forestation and get some insight into traditional African culture of the people living here.
Overnight at the campsite of the project or at Fig Resort Campsite
Day 13
Drive back to Arusha, where we arrive in the afternoon. Dinner and Overnight at Arusha Tourist Inn Hotel/
McElly’s Hotel / City Link Pentagon.

Please try to book this route well in advance because clients are supposed to stay
in huts. Most of the times especially in July, Aug, Dec, and Jan the demand for

Machame route:
This route does not require advance booking. A week’s notification is enough.
Clients have to bring tents because no space in huts is provided. Bring own
tents.
Rongai Route:
This is a better alternative for Marangu route though huts are not

7. Reconfirmation of Return flights.

in Arusha .Telephone calls shall be charged. E –tickets do not need re confirmation

Lost luggage – our office shall try to recover the lost luggage but in case we fail we should not be held responsible.
Telephone calls shall be charged. If the luggage is found after clients have started the tour, transporting the luggage
to client will be charged to the client.

Easter, Christmas and New Year Supplements
There shall be US $ 35 more per pax per night for Wildlife Lodges as well as Sopa Lodges for the bookings falling on 03rd
, 04th, 05th April and 06th April 2015 for Easter Supplement
There shall be US $ 40 more per pax per night for Sopa Lodges and Wildlife Lodges for the bookings falling on 24th,
25th, 26th, and 31st December 2015 as Christmas Supplement, 1st and 2nd January 2016 for New Year supplement
- Parks Adventure shall always negotiate the best rates at all hotels/Lodges. No more discounts can be given to Tour
Leaders apart from those discounts agreed with the hotels/Lodges.
9. Other Points to Note:

Only T/Leader and one or two assistants shall represent the group in our office on start of the Safari .Other group
members shall stay at the Hotel unless in cases of personal problems like illness, loss of luggage etc.

Park entrance fees are now paid by tour operator electronic cards .Cash or cheques are no longer accepted by parks. All park
fees to be paid at our office and the driver/guide shall carry the electronic card for settlements at the gates

Shuttle bus is paid differently as quoted below. It is not included in transport charges.

All tour leaders should have updated information and tariffs. Some leaders come with information dated two years back.
Past years references will not be entertained.

We prefer payment in US $ but Euros are also accepted at the prevailing exchange rates. OLD NOTES US dollars (year
2005 backwards) are not accepted by our banks.

Please bring new version. Repeat, please bring new version. - Notes of denomination of $ 20 and below will be subjected
to 1.5% commission if total sum exceeds $ 1000. Our banks do not accept notes older than year 2006, Kindly take note- or
if you fail bring the equivalent in Euros.

All payments shall be made in full and in advance unless prior arrangements are made.

Hiring a private minibus from Arusha or Kilimanjaro to Dar-es-salaam or vice versa is US $ 1200 per car of 25 seats.

Tour leaders should send us the name list(also indicating age) of participants in the group before arrival

Client has to take care of his/her luggage upon arrival and during safari. All clients have to check their luggage
before leaving the Hotel/Lodge/Campsite.

Considering the group’s luggage size we strongly insist to use the service car as per our contract, we recommend
clients to travel with a soft / flexible bag weighing 15kilogrammes maximum for comfort and enough room in the car

Tour leader is free on transport and accommodation in Wildlife Lodges/ Arusha
Hotels and 50% in Sopa Lodges

We have tried to keep our Rates as minimal as possible. Tour leaders are kindly requested not to waste a
lot of time bargaining for more discounts.
11.Shuttle Bus Service Nairobi – Arusha and Arusha – Nairobi.
We use this service because it is cheaper and convenient. Clients do not have to be cheated by Nairobi airport boys. There are
two scheduled departures daily; one at 0800 hrs and another at 1400hrs from both Nairobi and Arusha. Currently we are using
RAINBOW SHUTTLE BUS.
Please give clear instructions for T/Leader to be picked at the airport. The rate per pax one way is US $ 25.The transfer is
straight to Arusha and not Namanga. Late transfer/PRIVATE can be arranged at an extra fee of $ 15 per pax – minimum 10 pax.
Payment for this service to be done in our office in Arusha and not on the bus.

- Clients staying overnight in Nairobi – Transfer from Nairobi Airport to Nairobi Hotel is US $ 60 per car.
12. Boat Services / Flight Services.
Boat - Dar/ZNZ US $ 40 per (Pay direct and subjected to change)
Flight – JRO (ARK)/ ZNZ - US$ 200 per one way (Subject to change)
OTHER EXTRA SERVICES:
Considering suggestions/ opinions from different tour leaders and clients, we have decided to introduce some new
services to fit their requirements.
The service supply car: This will be for those coming with much luggage or those who will require chairs, tables, etc.
The car will only be transferring these equipment from one point of overnight to another, with the cook. (It will not be
going for game drives)
Chairs, Tables: These have been on demand by many clients since our 2009 operations. We shall only provide for this
service if clients take the service/ supply car. This is because the cars being used for game drives do not have enough
space to such equipment- with passengers and their luggage. This service will be at a cost as indicated below
Tents/ Mattresses/ Sleeping bags: Although this service was partially available, we are going to make it officially
available. We have experienced many clients coming without these equipment and causing difficulty to find them on
last minutes. So now clients will opt to come without tents, sleeping bags, and mattresses, and hire them from us. This
is not compulsory but will be provided on request. The cost has been indicated below
Crockery (Serving equipment): We have also experienced some groups coming without these equipment, and instead
buying them locally here, and after the safari they give them out. Now these equipment will be available for hire.
