Day 1, ZAGREB
Upon arrival at Zagreb airport, transfer to hotel for
overnight.
Day 2, ZAGREB -LJUBLJANA -PLITVICE LAKES
Morning departure for Ljubljana, Capital of Slovenia.
The old city centre has a unique architectural
appearance, particularly due to its mixture of
Baroque and Art Nouveau architecture with
masterful creations by the 20th century architect
Jože Pleènik.
The tour ends with a funicular ride to Ljubljana
Castle, which departs from the Krekov trg square.
After city tour, continuation to Plitvice Lakes. Largest
national park in Croatia, with 16 lakes and waterfalls
surrounded by dense woods. Arrival at Plitvice in the
late afternoon. Touring of the Plitvice Lakes National Park. Dinner in hotel. Overnight
Day 3, PLITVICE LAKES - TROGIR -SPLIT
After breakfast, sightseeing of National Park.
Continuation to Trogir. Sightseeing of Trogir and
continuation to Split. Dinner in hotel. Overnight.
Day 4, SPLIT - DUBROVNIK
After breakfast city tour of Split, City tour of
Split including the Diocletian Palace (305 A.D.)
surrounded by walls with four gates, ancient
basements, Peristyle, Jupiter Temple, and
Cathedral of St. Duimus, with its bell tower.
Continuation to Dubrovnik. Overnight.
Day 5, DUBROVNIK
Sightseeing tour of Dubrovnik including the Franciscan
and Dominican monasteries, the Rector's Palace and
the Cathedral. We will tour the city walls with their
magnificent fortresses and towers. Afternoon time at
your leisure. Dinner. Overnight.
Day 6, DUBROVNIK- MOSTAR- SARAJEVO
Morning departure to Mostar driving along the coast
and then turning inland along the Neretva River Delta.
Sightseeing tour of the Old city of Mostar recently
(2005) included on the UNESCO's List of the World
Cultural Heritage. During the Turkish rule, the city was
an important trade centre, traces of that period are
still visible today. We tour its elegant Bridge, Old
colourful Bazaar, the Mosque and a typical Turkish
house. On our way back we stop at Poèitelj, a
picturesque fortress town perched on a hillside above
the Neretva River. After the tour we depart towards
Sarajevo. Check in at the hotel; dinner, Overnight
Day 7, SARAJEVO – BEOGRAD (Belgrade)
Morning city tour of Sarajevo including Bašèaršija, Gazi
Husref Bey Mosque and Tunnel War Museum. After
the tour we depart towards Beograd (Belgrade) the
capital of Serbia. Sightseeing tour of Beograd, lying at
the confluence of the Danube and Sava rivers,
including Kalemegdan with its fortress and a beautiful
view on the confluence. Overnight.
Day 8, BEOGRAD - ZAGREB
Morning departure to Zagreb. Upon arrival city tour of
Zagreb, including the fortified medieval Upper Town,
St. Mark's church, the Cathedral of St Stephen, the
Stone Gate, the Croatian National Theatre and the
University. Evening at leisure. Overnight.
Day 9, ZAGREB Transfer to airport.
