President’s Volunteerism & Philanthropy Awards
Informal Group Category (Volunteerism)
This award serves to recognise informal groups that have contributed to the community through
volunteerism resulting in positive and sustainable social change. Through this award, we hope to inspire
others to be innovative in volunteerism and addressing social issues.
Notes and Conditions
i. Nomination forms (both signed hardcopy AND softcopy) to be sent to:

Shortlisted nominees may be required to discuss their nomination with Secretariat and/or panel
judges.
iii. There may be no winners, depending on the judges’ evaluation. Secretariat will publicly announce
the identities of nominees only if they are award winners. Winners must keep Award results
confidential until Secretariat’s announcement. Awards, if made, may be withdrawn if there is nondisclosure or misrepresentation of material information, or for non-compliance of these conditions.
All decisions relating to the Awards are final.
iv. Winners are expected to help others build capacity by sharing their award-winning practices and
experiences at NVPC programmes/activities or those of our partners..
Eligibility and Criteria
Please proceed with completing this nomination form only if your Group fulfils the following criteria:
 History of effecting positive social change and contributing to Singapore’s community through
volunteerism for a minimum of one year
 Demonstrating active contribution at time of nomination
 Group members are not involved in any litigation or regulatory infraction as at point of nomination
 Possesses evidence of replication of the group’s work in effecting positive social change or
addressing the community needs in Singapore

B1: CONCEPT

 Volunteer work design (Volunteer roles are designed to effectively utilise member's
(professional) skills and/or meet identified community needs)
 Recruitment (Recruitment of volunteers using strategies relevant to the profile of volunteers

track relevant information on current and new volunteers. Reporting done within the group to
demonstrate the impact of volunteer contributions)
