Information Management & Communication Officer Haiti MM/HA/IMCO Concern Worldwide is an Irish-based non-governmental, international, humanitarian organisation dedicated to the reduction of suffering and working towards the ultimate elimination of extreme poverty in the world’s poorest countries. Job Title: Information Management & Communication Officer Reports to: Country Director Job Location: Haiti Port au Prince with some travel to other project areas as required Contract Details: 1 Year Unaccompanied, Grade B Job Purpose: To assist the Country Management Team with all the reporting and information gathering activities that take place within Concern’s emergency response in Haiti and to provide relevant information to various stakeholders. • Main duties & Responsibilities: • • • • • • • • Attend UN Cluster Coordination Meetings as required, liaise with other actors present at those meetings and report information back to the Concern team. Gather and compile information from Concern’s Senior management team, programme managers and logistics and inject that information into the relevant cluster meetings. Provide regular updates to Concern Dublin about the status of implementation of activities proposed. Produce/adapt information for dissemination to/through a number of outlets/channels, eg print, broadcast, online, interviews, visual/audiovisual as required Assist in gathering specific information and writing documents for advocacy purposes as requested from other NGO’s, Head Office, the government etc. Update general country information and project summary sheets Prepare presentations on Concern’s program portfolio for information sharing and communication purposes as required Participate, as requested, in proposal and report writing for donors and government line ministries In collaboration and coordination with Program Support Officers produce high quality timely and accurate donor and internal reports, proposals and other requested documents. Needs to have initiative and be able to work with minimal supervision.
