 Review of last minutes
Communication . Pen poitrait? A little bit of information about all Parent Forum members,
explaining this is who we are and this is what we do. BM suggested that CB write a brief
overview about Parents Forum. CB suggested pictures in lobby.
** CB will contact Ros Winstance.
Praise assembly
BM spoke with Nick Barnes to arrange for BM to take praise assembly. BM doing her best
to arrange so she can take some. Also BM said that each class is going to do a praise
assembly, which hopefully will encourage more parents. CB suggested that when class do
praise assembly maybe PTA can provide tea and coffee.
Information events

Toddler Group
SR said she has now got a good group of volunteers.
SH mentioned that she knows of some astro turf, would the school be interested, BM said
yes please.

BM spoke to Ros who has agreed to do end of year photo’s
Travel home with staff members, is possible but needs to be in writing, BM to clarify points.
Standing Orders for Pre School fees, BM spoke to Sam who is following up.
Need to look for Year 4 and Year 5 representative, BM suggested put it in Newsletter, SH
will ask Tanya Lechford for year 4 representation
SH mentioned toilets, pupils not flushing, paper on floor, putting children off going.

SH asked if girls and boys could get changed separately for PE as the girls are getting more
self aware.

Newsletter every week and texts, CB suggested more visual presence from BM. BM
agreed and will try.
 Parent Questionnaires
Very poor return, CB suggested electronically would be better, SH suggested handing
out at break time
 Toilets
 Red Nose Day
BM suggested spare change mosaic for children and wear something red, also cake
stall.

World Book Day – 5th February –
 Fundraising
Devolved capital, from the Government through the Diocese, for use of small capital
improvements and ICT, but as a church aided school we need to provide the first
10%, and the school is coming to the end of its interest, so it needs to top up the fund
raising for the school, not PTFA.
 Concerns
CB raised about school uniform on school
CB raised about nits, why can’t children been sent home when they have nits

 Ideas
CB mentioned about Town Council office on site, can it then be used as an extension
to preschool – BM said it is being looked into.
