QUALITY ASSURANCE
A.
Manufacturer Qualifications: Firm with minimum 10 years documented experience in
manufacturing operable partitions of type specified.
B.
Installer Qualifications: An experienced installer certified in writing by the operable partition
manufacturer, as qualified to install the manufacturer's partition systems for work similar in
material, design, and extent to that indicated for this Project.
C.
Field Measurements: Verify actual measurements of openings by field measurement prior to
fabrication; show measurements on shop drawings.
D.
STC Ratings: Calculate STC in accordance with ASTM E 413 based on ASTM E 90 test on
fully assembled partition of minimum size indicated:

Rigid Panel Partitions: 168 inches (4267 mm) high by 111 inches (2819 mm) wide.
DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING
A.
Deliver, handle and store products in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations.

EXAMINATION
A.
Do not begin installation until substrates have been properly prepared.
B.
If substrate preparation is the responsibility of another installer, notify Architect of
unsatisfactory preparation before proceeding.
PREPARATION
A.
Clean surfaces thoroughly prior to installation.
B.
Prepare surfaces using the methods recommended by the manufacturer for achieving the
best result for the substrate under the project conditions.

A.
Install in accordance with manufacturer's instructions.
B.
Prepare opening in conformance to the criteria set forth per ASTM E 557 Standard Guide for
Architectural Design and Installation Practices for Sound Isolation between Spaces
separated by Operable Partitions.
C.
Provide the services of the manufacturer's field representative to advise on proper
installation procedures and inspect the finished work.
D.
Install and adjust as required to achieve acoustical separation between adjacent areas.
E.
Adjust locking hardware for proper operation.
F.
Install operators and controls, make electrical connections and verify proper operation.
DEMONSTRATION
A.
Demonstrate operation and instruct Owner's personnel in proper operation and maintenance
procedures.
B.
Deliver keys and operation and maintenance data to Owner.
CLEANING
A.
All track and panel surfaces shall be wiped clean and free of handprints, grease, and soil.
B.
Clean up work area and adjacent areas and dispose of debris legally off site.
C.
Packing and other installation debris shall be removed from the job site.
PROTECTION
A.
Protect installed products until completion of project.
B.
Touch-up, repair or replace damaged products before Substantial Completion.
