Job Description: Programme Manager – Evidence-Informed Policy Making Job Title: Programme Manager – Evidence-Informed Policy Making Reports to: VakaYiko Director/Programme Manager - EIPM Location: London with regular trips to our Oxford office Terms: Permanent full-time Salary: £33,000 - £38,000 Overall Purpose Manage and implement the programme plans for the VakaYiko Consortium to ensure that capacity to use research evidence is developed in the key focus countries. Ensure sustainability and handover of programme areas to local management is built into programme implementation. Provide support to the VakaYiko Director in responding to new projects as and when they arise. Seek opportunities for new projects by developing and building a network of individuals and organisations working to support evidence-informed policy making (EIPM). Work closely with other members of INASP to share learning internally and externally. Key Responsibilities Programme Management Working with relevant staff and external stakeholders, design and implement interventions to support the capacity of policy makers in partner countries to use research evidence. Deliver on programme work plan and log frame indicators Manage relationships with VakaYiko Consortium members and work with them to deliver agreed milestones Input into writing of reports for funders Manage development of and maintain currency, relevance and availability of capacity building materials and best practice guidelines Work closely with the Evaluation, Learning and communication Team to develop and implement tools to evaluate impact of activities, and share learning internally and externally with appropriate stakeholders Identify and manage relations with international or local experts, stakeholders and potential advocates within the programme area Contribute to the overall development of the Evidence Informed Policy Making (EIPM) programme including supporting opportunities for collaboration and expansion Ensure sustainability is built into all programme planning implementation Collect data for successful monitoring and evaluation of the programme both by INASP and by external evaluators Represent INASP at external meetings and conferences inasp@inasp.info t +44 (0)1865 249909 Company registration number www.inasp.info f +44 (0)1865 251060 Registered charity number 04919576 1106349 International Network for the Availability of Scientific Publications Limited is a company limited by guarantee and registered in England & Wales.
