Mystery Book Report Folder
For your October Book Report, you need to select and read a mystery book. This book
report is due on Friday, October 28th.
You will need:
 1 file folder
 2 half sheets of lined paper
 2 Half sheets of blank, unlined paper
 Crayons
 Glue
Directions
1. Select and read a Mystery Book.
 A Mystery book is a fiction book that deals with a detective

solving some sort of crime or a puzzle.

 These would include books or series like Encyclopedia Brown,
Keene
Jigsaw Jones, Nancy Drew, Scooby Doo, Cam Jansen, and many
other books.
2. Decorate the front cover of the folder. You must include the following
elements:
 The Title of the book
Report by Mrs. G.
 The Author’s name
10/29/10
 Your name
 The date
 A picture about the book
3. On the 1 of the half sheets of blank, unlined paper, draw a picture of an important
event that happened in the book.
4. On the other half sheet of blank, unlined paper, draw a picture of the main
character(s) in the story.
5. On 1 half sheet of lined paper, write the major sequence of events that occurred in the
book. It may help to use the format “In the beginning..., next…, in the middle…, then…,
at the end…”.
6. On the other half sheet of lined paper, please write your opinion of the book.
7. Glue items 3-6 onto the file folder in the order shown below:
