Position Profile:
Employee Benefits Presentation & Data Reporting Analyst
Reports to:
Director of Client Services and Operations Manager
Purpose:
Support the administrative services and reporting functions of the Employee Benefits Sales and Service team. This includes
but not limited to commission input and reporting in Gen 4 (web-based client tracking system), development and
production of reports, RFPs and presentations for C. M. Smith Insights and sale and service teams. Updating and
monitoring electronic communication for C. M. Smith Agency which will include frequent website updates, use of social
media on a weekly if not daily basis to include all types of electronic media in a business environment.
Commission Input
Manage the daily input of commission for the Employee Benefits Department to include:
 Open and record commission checks and prepare for deposit
 Input all commission into Gen 4 system daily
 Work with bookkeeper to insure commissions balance to bank account
 Flag any issues with commissions on Gen 4 and seek assistance with account team member to resolution
Reporting
Assist/back-up Data Analytics Specialist on client reports.
 Strong reporting skills using all functionality in Excel
 Prepare charts and graphs from data analytics in incorporate into dashboards and other client reports and
presentation for delivery by established deadlines.
 Implementation and maintenance of standard operational, analytic and reporting activities
Presentations
Assist Sales and Service teams with Power Point/Word/Excel presentations for clients and prospects.
Formal Education:
Associate or Bachelor's degree with 2 plus years of business experience preferably but not limited to a broker, employee
benefits carrier or healthcare environment.
Knowledge and Skills:
 Proficient in use of Microsoft Office suite with advanced knowledge of Excel and Power Point mandatory. Also
familiar with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver and web technologies
 Analytical and strong with numbers, calculations and formulas in Excel
 Compulsive attention to detail
 Strong multi-tasking capabilities with ability to manage and prioritize conflicting priorities of multiple work deadlines
 Familiarity with quality control and management of production reporting processes
 Ability to update company social media and website to support the daily use in Broker/Agent business practice. Have
knowledge of content rules and compliance when it comes to blogging, social media posting and video
 Employee Benefits and HealthCare reform knowledge a plus
 The ability to work collaboratively across the organization
 Strong organization and communication skills
 Self-directed
