Key Messages – OARA Tire Take Back Event 2013 *For internal reference use only. Not for public distribution. Across Ontario, the OARA Tire Take Back Event is being held from May 27th until June 1st during regular business hours. Ontario Tire Stewardship and Ontario Automotive Recyclers Association are collecting old Passenger, Light Truck and Agricultural tires for free during business hours throughout the annual Tire Take Back event. This event is about recycling your tires for a great cause that helps transform old tires into new dreams for children with severe physical disabilities or life-threatening illnesses. At my collection site, (NAME of site), (CITY/TOWN) community members can drop off their Passenger, Light Truck and Agricultural tires on X and X date. The proceeds from each tire will help The Sunshine Foundation of Canada fulfill dreams for children with severe physical disabilities or life threatening illnesses. (CITY/TOWN) residents can drop off an unlimited amount of Passenger, Light Truck and Agricultural tires for free during our business hours, knowing they will be recycled responsibly and help Sunshine Foundation make children’s dreams come true. For the location that collects the most tires, OTS will be awarding a Community Prize valued at $15,000 worth of recycled tire products to revitalize a local community space or project. Over the last four years, the OARA Tire Take Back events have raised more than $500,000 for Sunshine Foundation, and a successful event last year has enabled the organization to send children to Disney World on Sunshine Foundation’s DreamLift this summer. Our goal this year is to raise more than $100,000. We’re so thrilled to get our community involved in this great cause, which supports Ontario’s recycling industry and makes dreams come true for children at Sunshine Foundation.
