2013 SCRAP TIRE COLLECTION
The Metro Waste Authority will make available a container for scrap tires.
Each household will be allowed to deposit a maximum of five (5) scrap tires
(on or off the rims). To be eligible for the free scrap tire collection, you
must be a resident of the City of Prairie City. It is NOT available to tire
dealers, distributors, manufacturers, waste tire collection sites, stores,
processors or recyclers of waste tires. We will NOT accept large semi
truck, semi trailer, farm, tractor, or solid tires (such as golf carts, forklift or
mower tires). The Public Works Department will be at the Collection Site
at the Water Tower on HWY 117, at which time you may bring your tires
for collection. The dates and times are as follows:
Tuesday, April 9, 2013 7:00 am – 7:30 am
Wednesday, April 10, 2013 7:00 am – 7:30 am and 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Thursday, April 11, 2013 6:00 am – 9:30 am and 12:00 pm – 2:30 pm
