Trick Words: right, place, together Examples: olive, inventive, entire There will be a spelling test Friday. Ten words will be dictated from the week’s phonics lessons. *The three trick words will be tested as well. Vocabulary words 1. recently – if something happened not long ago 2. housed – if something is placed or lives somewhere 3. nominate – when you suggest that someone should get an office, job, or honor 4. recreation – when you do something fun and relaxing 5. leisurely – you are not in a hurry 6. ramble – you wander around 7. archaic – something is old and not used anymore 8. official – a person Homework - Please complete the assignments daily and return ALL homework on Friday.
