2016 Statutory test timetable The tests must be taken on the scheduled day unless you have approval from a timetable variation application to move the test forward by up to 5 school days. Under no circumstances should a test be taken before the scheduled day. Date Monday 9 May Test Timings English reading test, reading booklet and associated answer booklet. 60 minutes English grammar, punctuation and 45 minutes spelling test, Paper 1, short answer Tuesday 10 questions May English grammar, punctuation and 15 minutes (not strictly timed) spelling test, Paper 2, spelling Mathematics, Paper 1, arithmetic Wednesday test 11 May Mathematics, Paper 2, reasoning Thursday 12 May Mathematics, Paper 3, reasoning 30 minutes 40 minutes 40 minutes Under no circumstances may a test be taken before the day specified in the statutory timetable. However, there may be some pupils that take the tests on a different day from the rest of the cohort where an application for a timetable application has been approved. In some circumstances, a school may inform us that a pupil will take a test on the scheduled day but at a different time to the rest of the cohort.
