Keywords

List of keywords in English language, separated by commas.

1

Introduction

Extended abstracts must not exceed 2 pages!

For the full text of the paper there is no limitation on the number of pages.

Extended abstract is seen as a preview to the full text of the paper, so it should contain text, images, and mathematical expressions, which placing in the abstract authors consider substantial. It is not necessary to indicate the titles of all chapters and sub-chapters that occur in full text.

Selected papers will be published in “Transactions of the VŠB - Technical University of Ostrava, Civil Engineering Series” which is a part of the List of Peer-Reviewed Nonimpact Periodical Publications issued in the Czech Republic. The List is prepared by the

R&D Council of the Government of the Czech Republic. The condition for publication of the paper is a personal presentation at the conference and the corresponding citations of publications from Scopus and ISI in the article.

2 Formatting

The format of this document is created using styles and it is possible to start writing a paper right here.

Please write the paper to the standard paper size A4 (i.e. 21x29,7 cm) with specular page margins. Size of margins: inner 34 mm, outer 25 mm, lower 36 mm and upper 22 mm, header and footer 12,5 mm.

The basic text is aligned in the block in Times New Roman size 12. The first line of the first paragraph is not indented. Other paragraphs are indented 5 mm (1 tab).

2.1

 “Abstract” (title of Abstract, Acknowledgements and References): 12 pt., bold, leftaligned. Space before 12 pt. behind 6 pt.

 “Chapter”: 14 pt., bold, first numbering level, left-aligned. Space before 12 pt. behind

 “Subchapter”: 12 pt., bold, second numbering level, left-aligned. Space before 6 pt. behind 6 pt. (maximum level of numbering is the second).

 “Text”: 12 pt., one tab is set to be 0,5 cm.

 “Enumeration”: 12 pt., left-aligned, offset 0,5 cm.

Footnote text: 11 pt., left-aligned.

 “Figure” / “Table”: captions of figures and tables, placed under the figures (table). 8 pt., centered. Space before 6 pt. behind 6 pt.

 “Equation”: 12 pt., left-aligned, offset 0,5 cm (1 tab) according to the model (1)

Page number: 12 pt.

 “Acknowledgement”: 12 pt. italics.

 “Literature”: 12 pt., numbering (e.g. [1]), offset of the text 1 cm.

2.2

Page numbering

Extended abstract pages are not numbered. In the full text the page number is placed in the footer, centered.

3 Graphical and other elements in the text

3.1

Formulas, equations, mathematical expressions and referencing them in text

Left-aligned within the style “Equation”, numbering of formulas should be in parentheses aligned with the right margin using a predefined tab.

Reference to the formula in text is done by using the numbers in parentheses: "... after substituting the boundary conditions in (1) we obtain equation (2), which solution ...".

3.2

References and links to it

Numbering of each reference is done using the square brackets. Citation in the text is performed similarly as in Section 3.1 (see e.g. Sec. 4).

The list of references is not the place for summary of the previous publishing activity of authors, although it might be tempting due the unlimited length of full text.

3.3

Images, photos and graphs

Proceedings of extended abstracts will be printed in black and white on A4 format.

Hence, vote such a size and graphic quality of images so that the black and white printing and subsequent copying will not decrease significantly their clarity and informative value.

If you prefer to use text wrapping for pictures for more space saving, please submit a paper also in PDF format or for example a screenshot, from which intended position of the image will be obvious (What you see is not always what you get

).
