These two new programs enable students to attain their college and career-readiness goals through a career related experience in the community. The supervisors will be working with the CPHS Internship/Capstone Seminar teacher to coordinate community placements and end-of-course portfolios. The supervisor must also establish positive community relationships for student placement and have transportation to visit different job sites (mileage reimbursed). Minimum Qualifications: 1. High School diploma or equivalent required. 2. Proficiency with computer skills with an emphasis on Windows-based software, including MSExcel, MSWord, PowerPoint, Access and basic import/export functions. 3. Establish office hours at CPHS to meet with students participating in the program Establish site visit schedule to ensure student accountability in the community Develop and process student evaluations Manage end-of-course student portfolios Processes Capstone/Internship applications and secure internship, work-study, job shadow, and employment opportunities for students Assist Guidance Staff to coordinate attendance, discipline, and credit reporting Assist Capstone/Internship Seminar teacher with all aspects of the program Power Goal: Establish CPHS Capstone/Internship Program in the community 1. Coordinate, develop, and maintain positive relationships with community stakeholders. 2. Manage student caseload to ensure program completion. 3. Collaborate with CPHS Capstone/Internship Seminar teacher to align program for students.
