Report and to attend viva-voce examination as part of curriculum as per the schedule announced by
the University, besides submitting two assignments for each subject paper w.e.f. academic year 201415. In this connection, you are advised to comply with enclosed guidelines with regard project report
and assignments. Assignment Questions Papers can also be downloaded from our website.

ANNEXURE – I
GUIDELINES FOR PROJECT REPORT
1) Every candidate shall choose an eligible Project Guide for selecting a topic for the Project
work and also for guiding him / her in preparing the Project Report.
2) The eligible Project Guide shall be
a) Faculty of DCMS, Andhra University, PG Campuses at Kakinada, Vizianagaram and
Tadepalligudem; or
b) Academic counselors of MBA Programme being offered by School of Distance
Education, Andhra University, Visakhapatnam; or
c)
Faculty of Depts. Of Commerce & Management Studies of any other University
recognized by Andhra University.
3) The Project Work shall be undertaken in any organization having a minimum of Rs.100
crore turnover or having atleast 500 employees.
4) The topics for the project report may be taken from the following suggestive list of areas
or can choose any topic relevant to the Diploma course and do the project work in
consultation with the Project Guide.

Operational performance of any Public Sector Enterprises including Banks and
Insurance Companies

Pricing policies of Public Sector enterprises.

Impact studies (sectoral) on the economic policies of Government

Field Study / Empirical Study
5) The Candidate has to submit the Project Report on the date of Viva-Voce i.e., 18.10.2015.

GUIDELINES FOR ANSWERING ASSIGNMENTS
1.
Assignments constitute the continuous evaluation which carry a weightage of 20 percent in
each subject paper.
2.
The Main purpose of assignment is to test the students comprehension of the course material
sent to him / her and also in helping him / her in getting through the courses. The answers
should be complete in all respects. Incomplete answers bring poor marks. The assignments
are to be submitted to the Director, School of Distance Education, Andhra University on the
date of Viva-Voce Examination i.e., 18.10.2015. It is desirable that the students should retain a
copy of all assignment responses which he/she submits.

Assignment Question Papers for each subject are herwith enclosed.

While Answering Assignments :


(a)
A Student should read the assignment carefully and follow the specific instructions, if
any.
(b)
He/She has to study thoroughly the units on which assignments are based.
(c)
He/She should note down relevant points of answers ; rearrange those points in a
logical order and draw a rough outline of answer. The answer should be logical,
cohesive and it should have clear connections between sentences and paragraphs.
(d)
Each Assignment is to be answered and submitted separately in a booklet form using
A4 size papers providing clear cut margins and sufficient space in between each
answer. On the top of the first page of each assignment the required information be
furnished invariably in the format given below :

The responses should be in candidate’s own handwriting. Print or typed answers will
not be accepted. After receiving the assignments from the candidate, the Office of the
School of Distance Education will arrange to send acknowledgement thereon.
All the assignments (12 book-lets) are to be submitted at a time. Assignments Books with
Spiral Binding are NOT Accepted.
