Opportunities for the Rural Economy - Peter Cook, 2 Mennie Cooks Ltd
Peter Cook has been undertaking work on the future of the agriculture sector
across the North and East of Scotland. A recent study has been undertaken and
Peter will present the outputs and facts and figures from this report.
Following the presentation of ideas and knowledge from the Go Rural learning
journeys, and within the context of the opportunities which exist to add value to
farms via direct food sales, farm tours, leisure and tourism, Peter will facilitate a
brainstorming session and workshop on the opportunities for the rural economy
from “agri” based businesses.
