Architecture A-Z, for elementary age campers: Buildings are going up all around us.
Learn firsthand what goes in to the design elements of architecture: map out a site plan, draw a scale
rendering and make a 3-D model. Friday we will construct a gingerbread house and then demolish it
with our forks! June 2-6 OR July 28 - August 1
Architectural Design, for older students: Middle grade students will enjoy an intensive
week of group design activities and independent study rich with inspiration. Our classic program of
Independent Design combines with Architecture A-Z , building exciting concepts from the ground up.
We’ll learn techniques and terminology the experts use, and Friday we will construct a gingerbread
house and then demolish it with our forks! June 9-13 ONE SPOT LEFT!
French Painters, for both elementary and middle: Seurat, Monet, Cezanne,
Bonnard, Matisse, Cassatt, Rousseau... A well-loved program returns for exhibition…all ages will enjoy
this theme exploring the concepts of impressionism, pointillism, expressionism, cubism and naive art
styles. With art history studies, engaging games and hands on painting “en plein air”, students will try
their hand at some of the techniques used by the masters while expressing their own voices through
painting. Friday we will “travel to Paris” and enjoy homemade crepes! July 14-18 FULL!
The Power of Water, for elementary age campers: No one can live without water.
From the polar ice caps to our own wetlands to the amazon rainforest, we’ll learn to draw animals that
have adapted to extreme water environments. Experimenting with the fascinating forms of ice, water,
and steam, we’ll play cooling water games and see what happens when we mix watercolor with salt.
Friday we’ll have a pajama “snow day” and enjoy frozen treats we make ourselves!
June 23-27 OR July 7-11
Camps begin at 9am and end at 2pm Monday through Friday. *Extend day to 3pm option, $8 per day. All camps
are $225 per session (missed days or hours can be prorated) plus a $25 supply fee due upon registration.
