Mission Minute
New England Seafarers Mission – Please join us on Sunday, May 3 as we welcome
Pastor Steve Cushing to Bethany as he updates us on navigating the waters of mission
work on the docks of Boston. To volunteer at the Mission, please see the 2015 volunteer
schedule online at www.neseafarers.org/volunteer. On May 15th the first Bethany Team
will be heading down, if you can join this group, see the sign-up sheet on the Missions
bulletin board in the Narthex.
CareNet Pregnancy Center, Manchester—Saturday, May 9th, "Walk of Heroes" For

New York Mission Trip, June 12-14 - If you are planning on joining us for this
outreach event, now is the time to finalize your plans. Applications are due TODAY
along with $150.00 per person to cover the hotel. Information in the Narthex following
services this morning.
Prayer for Missionaries:
 Pastor Monyroor Teng as he is in South Sudan.
 Anna Larson, who is in the Dominican Republic teaching young children. Anna will also
be available on May 3 after the second service.
 Please continue to remember all of our Covenant missionaries in prayer. You may pick
up a Covenant Prayer Calendar at the Information Desk.
New to Bethany?
We have two weekly services:
 9:00 am Traditional
 10:30 am Contemporary
For Children:
 Infants and Toddlers in our nursery downstairs
 Kid’s Quest (infants to 6th grade):
9:00—Children are downstairs for the entire service to participate in Kid’s Quest.
10:30—Children begin in the service and then are dismissed downstairs following
the Children’s Message.
For Students:
 Surge (middle school) – Small group during the 9:00 service
 Highlight (high school) – Small groups for girls and guys during the 9:00 service
Spiritual Formation Classes
 Sundays at 9:00 am—The Marriage Class meets next Sunday, April 26 at 9:00 in
the Commons Room. All are welcome to come as we discuss how to value our
spouses. Questions, contact David and Sue Cassidy (232-3914).
 Sundays at 10:30 am—2 Timothy with Sandra Metaxotos and Dan Scharlach in
the Commons Room.
 Wednesdays at 7:00 pm, Acts with Earl Dunbar in Room #8 (blue room).
 Wednesdays at 7:00 pm, Men’s Bible Study in Room #9 (green room).
Deacon Gathering
Joan Green will have a gathering for those in her flock this morning between services in
Pastor Joel’s office. If you are in her flock, stop by and say hello!
Waffle and Welcome Night—Fairly new to Bethany? Pastor Joel and Victoria would
love to host you at a Waffle and Welcome Night at their home TONIGHT from 6pm to
730pm. 95 Gage Girls Road, Bedford.
On review of the Board of Deacons, the Leadership Team will recommend the following
individuals for membership at Bethany Covenant Church. Please address any comments
you may have in writing to the Leadership Team. We look forward to welcoming them
into membership on April 26, 2015.

“Ethics in the Marketplace: Connecting Sunday to Monday,” Next Sunday,
April 26 from 12-1 pm at Bethany. Discussion with Dr. Dennis Hollinger, President of
Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. All are invited! Dr. Hollinger is also speaking at
both worship services. A light lunch will be served in the Commons Room before the
talk.
The Greeters Team is Expanding. If you would like to welcome people as they arrive
on Sundays with a warm smile, contact Diane Marinkov to serve at 9:00 and JT Shupe at
10:30.
Lamb’s Workshop is now enrolling students for the morning 3-year-old and afternoon
4-year-old programs for the 2015-16 school year. For more information, please contact
Donna Gamans (472-2113).
DVDs of the 10:30 Easter service are available at the Information Desk.
Men’s Ministry
Friday Morning Men’s Bible Study
The Friday morning men’s Bible Study will begin a new study on April 24. We will do
Timothy Keller’s study on Gospel in Life – Grace Changes Everything. Come join us on
this exciting 8-week plus journey. We meet in the Commons Room from 6:45–8:00 am.

“Iron Sharpens Iron”—May 16 in Worcester. Johnny Parker and Arnie Cole are the

New Life Home
The women, staff, and Board of New Life Home would like to thank the 13 Manly Men
who showed up on Saturday, April 11 to remove a wall in a bedroom, move furniture,
and repair a ceiling at the main entrance. Your time and service is greatly appreciated.

 Pray for our global sisters and brothers in Christ, for those being persecuted for their
faith, particularly those in Sudan, Afghanistan, Syria, Iraq, Iran and Vietnam. Pray for
strength, provision, healing and protection.
