Toynbee Hall Policy and Communications Officer to the London Fairness Commission Flexible, up to 21 Hours per week to 31st January 2015 Pro rata £30,000 per annum Job purpose To provide research, communications and secretariat support to the London Fairness Commission and to ensure that the Commission successfully completes its evidence based enquiry and reporting to timetable and communicating its work effectively to a diverse group of stakeholders. Key tasks & responsibilities To organise meetings of the London Fairness Commission including those for the Chair and sub-groups including agenda planning, venue management, briefing preparation, minute taking, reporting and action planning To provide effect support to, and relationship management with the Chair and other Commissioners including organising meetings, diary management, providing briefings and update reports, dealing with routine correspondence and enquiries To produce and collate written briefings, presentation and materials for Commissioners To ensure effective information management and of the Commission’s meetings, evidence and reports To maintain effective records relating to all aspects of the Commission’s work including developing a contact and stakeholder database To develop and implement an interim communications plan and ensure information on the work of the Commission is disseminated to key stakeholders and partners To work as part of a team Skills and experience Policy and research experience in a related field such as economic policy, social policy and an interest in the work of the London Fairness Commission.
