The Wales National Velodrome was home to Team GB and Paralympic GB as they prepared for the Olympic and Paralympic games in London 2012, Beijing 2008 and Athens in 2004. Summer 2012 also saw the Australian and USA Paralympic Cycling Teams train before the Paralympic Games in London. It will take place on Wednesday 27th November and Thursday 28th November from 09:00 each day. All athletes should indicate their classification status with their online entry. Athletes should state if their classification None, New, Needs Review or is Confirmed It is essential athletes requiring classicisation include this with their online entry so that slots may be allocated. Please note: The demand for classification is expected to be large therefore classification will be prioritised for new riders requiring classification. Online Entry and Entry Fee The Entry Fee is £43 per rider payable on entry through the online system. Entry for all athletes from all nations is through British Cycling’s online entry system. This is not a UCI points qualifying event but will give exposure to high level competition to some young aspiring athletes. Entry is open to all Under 16 Para athletes but spaces are limited. No access is available to accredited areas from Friday 29th November without accreditation. Official Training Official training will take place from 12 noon to 5pm on Friday 29th November. This will be split into sessions and allocated by the Competition Manager. All teams will be informed of their allocated session after entries have closed. Other track training Should teams wish to arrive early or stay after the event it is possible to book the Velodrome for your training. Bike storage The Velodrome track centre will be secured with security personnel from Friday (29th) morning, no other storage is available at the venue. Team pens will be made with barriers and if you wish to store equipment in this area we recommend you bring locks with you as the area will still be accessible to accredited personnel. Doping Control The doping control room is located in the Velodrome near the toilets not far from the entrance to the track and will be clearly signposted from track centre.
