When we want to talk about a present consequence of a past action, we use the past perfect in the ifclause and the 2nd conditional in the main clause. Rule : When we want to talk about things that will be in progress at a specific future time, we use the future continuous. To form the future continuous we use “will” followed by “be” and finally the past partiple. FUTURE PERFECT 50 years from now, we will have used up all the earth’s natural resources. Rule : When we want to talk about things that will that will finish some time between now and the specified time in the future, we use the future perfect. To form the future perfect we use the “will” followed by “have” and finally the past participle.
