Industrial / Labor Relations Specialist The Chemours Company is seeking a motivated and energetic Industrial Relations Consultant to lead the US Region Labor and Employee Relations.. This highly engaging role is focused on providing strategic and operational guidance to company leadership and manufacturing site management on labor and employment matters, employee relations, pay, benefits, union avoidance, union negotiations, contract administration and union campaigns Candidates must: Analyze, coordinate and apply industrial labor relations programs, policies and procedures Provide strategic and operational guidance on labor matters, industrial/labor/employee relations Determine and analyze industrial/labor relations needs of organizationsWork with business leaders to establish short and long-term industrial/labor relations strategies Formulate and manage plans, procedures and programs to meet specific industrial/labor relations objectives and resolve problems Deliver industrial/labor relations strategy training to the organization Partner with HR leaders and legal resources to meet objectives while managing industrial/labor relations issues. In this role, the consultant will: Provide full and proactive support to assigned sites Consult with HR and Legal on strategic and tactical labor relations issues Actively coach and counsel HR Leaders and Manufacturing Leaders to resolve labor relations/employee relations issues Coach managers on change-management practices and resource application of those changes Analyze site HR/ER structures, systems, and processes Improve functioning capability of HR professionals and line management in the field of industrial relations Provide employee relations/labor relations training Provide bargaining planning, strategy, and support. Provide union campaign planning, strategy, and support Collaboratively develop employee relations/labor relations plans Conduct site employee relations/labor relations assessments Travel is required (20-40%) There are ~ 25 sites, 8 of which are Unionized. Qualifications In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following: Bachelor’s degree Minimum 5 years’ demonstrated experience in Labor Relations Strong conflict resolution, negotiation and problem-solving skills Ability to convey oral and written ideas clearly, concisely, and be technically and legally correct Thorough knowledge of labor and employment laws, trends, union campaign managing, bargaining processes, as well as corporate policies, practices, procedures and benefits The following skill sets are preferred by the business unit: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in HR/Labor Relations Goals Year One Visit each plant that has responsibility for to: - start relationship building with plant manager, hr manager, bargainer develop understanding of plant processes, systems, and issues Start building network of resources through meetings and interactions with: appropriate SBU operations management and HRM labor attorneys competency leaders Learn by teaching CBA Labor law day Specific topics as needed (i.e. FMLA/ADA) Learn by doing assist an experienced consultant in campaign resourcing, bargaining resourcing, or special project Year Two Continue all developmental experiences started in year one Identify developmental gaps opposite KSA’s and attend seminars, courses as appropriate Engage in special project to expand knowledge and skills Take a lead role in a PRS process Years Three, Four, and Five Identify gaps versus world class KSA’s Identify and attend formal training to fill gaps Identify and perform work aimed at achieving world class status Application Instructions: Please email your resume to Stephen.Black@dupont.com with “Chemours Labor Relations” in the subject line.
