A biography is the story is someone’s life told through the eyes of someone
else. For this assignment you will be creating a biography about a person
whom you find to be interesting. You will select someone, either famous or
someone you know. You will research the person either through interview or
through research. You will collect information about the person to use for
writing your biography.
Today, prepare to research your topic. Start by selecting the person. Next,
decide whether you can interview the person or whether you will need to do
research. Start today by creating an outline of information about the
person. Use the internet to research your topic. If you are writing about
someone you know, create a list of questions you would like to ask the
person. Use an outline format to prepare your research.
Today:
-Finish researching your topic. Once you believe you have enough
information to begin writing your biography start on your rough draft.
Remember to use the 1-3-1 formula.

Rough Draft

Today you will begin writing the rough draft of your biography. You will be
using a 1-3-1 format for this paper. You should have a title, a catchy
opening line and you should use details from your outline for the bulk of this
assignment. Make sure your biography is written in chronological order
starting with the beginning of the person’s life. Try to get as much
completed as possible. What you do not finish will become homework.
Paragraph 1- Introduction
Paragraph 2- Early Childhood/Birth
Paragraph 3- Middle Childhood/School Years
Paragraph 4- Adult life and accomplishments
Paragraph -5 Closing Paragraph
When you have finished make sure you check for spelling, capitalization,
punctuation, and grammatical errors.
Final Draft

When you are finished and your biography is perfect, copy and paste it to a
new document. To do this, first highlight the whole document. Next, open a
new word document in Word. Make sure you are using the “draft layout.”
Paste the document to the new page by going to edit and clicking “paste.”
Next, you need to set up your format.

Peyton Manning
Peyton Manning is the greatest quarterback of currently in the NFL.
Some may doubt this statement, some may even say “What about Tom
Brady?” To those naysayers I say Tom who? Peyton Williams Manning was
born on March 24th 1976. He was the son of Archie and Olivia Manning who
have three children total. Peyton comes from a long line of football. His
father Archie and his brother Eli, have both played football respectively.
