DUE DATE: SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 20TH, 2015 AT 11:59 PM DECA Queen’s Overview DECA Queen’s is a chapter in an international association of inspired business students working to become the leaders of tomorrow by competing in professional development conferences and case competitions. It was ratified as an external competition under the Commerce Society in 2007. The association focuses on helping students develop key skills essential to any career. In particular, these include developing case analysis, marketing concepts, presentation skills, and problem-solving skills on a continual basis. Unlike other external committees at Queen’s, it is not just a one-time competition or conference, but rather a year-long commitment involving training sessions and workshops in addition to inter-university competitions. Each November DECA Queen’s also hosts its own Queen’s Invitational Conference – the organization’s flagship event – in which students from various business schools meet in Kingston to compete in business cases and grow as professionals. This past year the Queen’s Invitational welcomed over 160 students from 15 different universities across Ontario! APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: Fill out all required personal information.
