CANCER PAMPHLET
Cell Growth & Reproduction Performance Task
Our unit of study about cell growth and reproduction includes knowledge about what happens
when cells do not function correctly resulting in cancerous cells. This occurs when there is an
interruption during the cell cycle. Many people are affected by cancer; you may even have some
family members or friends that have had cancer.
The goal of this performance task is to research a cancer of your choice and create a pamphlet
for the American Cancer Society.
Using the provided rubric, be sure to include the following sections. All sections should be
clearly identifiable in your pamphlet with proper headings.
