Appeals Process:
Qualify by accruing a minimum of 5 out of
10 possible RAMP criteria points listed
below
If you would like to appeal The

place your child in EDM 6;
RAMP Criteria
Fourth Grade MCA
Math > 470 - 1 point
1. Complete the RAMP 6th Fifth Grade NWEA Scores:
Math > 90% - 1 point
Grade Appeal form
Reading > 80% - 1 point
AND
2. Sign your child up to
take the 6th grade Math Fifth Grade CogAT:
Quantitative + Non-Verbal
6 Appeal Test in
> 132 - 3 points
August.
122 > 131 - 2 points
115 > 121 - 1 point
Double Accelerations
Linear Algebra I
Qualify by earning a minimum of 6
out of 8 possible RAMP criteria points
listed below
OR pass the Pre-Algebra Appeal Test
with a score > 80%.
RAMP Criteria
Fourth Grade MCA
Math > 470 - 1 point
Fifth Grade NWEA Scores:
Math > 90% - 1 point
Reading > 80% - 1 point
Fifth Grade CogAT:
Quantitative + Non-Verbal
> 132 - 2 points
122 > 131 - 1 point
Verbal > 117 - 1 point
Verbal > 117 - 1 point
Fifth Grade Orleans Hannah:
> 90% - 3 points
> 80% - 2 points
> 70% - 1 point
For students new to the Rochester School
District who do not have a CogAT score, the
following is required:


Orleans Hannah score > 80%
One more qualifying score ( > 90%)
from a standardized math
achievement test
Fifth Grade Orleans Hannah:
>90% - 2 points

who wish to be enrolled in
Linear Algebra I must meet
the following criteria:
• Minimum of a A in
Everyday Math 6
• Pre-Algebra Appeal Test
> 80%
• Teacher Recommendation
Single Acceleration
Linear Algebra I
Students completing Pre-Algebra will
be enrolled in Linear Algebra I if they
meet the conditions of the contract :
Minimum of a B in Pre-Algebra
• Pre-Algebra Final > 80%
• Teacher Recommendation
Double Accelerations
Intermediate Algebra Honors
(High School Course, earns HS Credit,
calculated into the HS grade point average,
grade reported on permanent HS Transcript –
cannot be expunged)
Students completing Linear Algebra I will be
enrolled in Intermediate Algebra Honors if they
meet the conditions of the contract:
• Minimum of a B in Linear Algebra I
• Linear Algebra I Final > 80%
• Teacher Recommendation
Students completing Pre-Algebra who
wish to be enrolled in Intermediate
Algebra Honors must meet the
following criteria:
• Minimum of A in Pre-Algebra
• Linear Algebra I Appeal Test > 80%
• Teacher Recommendation

Algebra Honors must meet
the following criteria:
• Minimum of A in PreAlgebra
• Linear Algebra I Appeal
Test > 80%
• Teacher Recommendation
Students completing Linear Algebra I
will be enrolled in Intermediate Algebra
Honors if they meet the conditions of
the contract listed below:
• Minimum of a B in Linear Algebra I
• Linear Algebra I Final > 80%
• Teacher Recommendation

criteria:
• Minimum of A in Linear Algebra
• Intermediate Algebra Credit for
Assessment > 80%
• Teacher Recommendation

Geometry Honors
(High School Course, earns HS Credit,
calculated into the HS grade point average,
grade reported on permanent HS Transcript –
cannot be expunged. This course may not be
offered at the middle school.)
Students completing Intermediate Algebra
Honors will be enrolled in Geometry Honors if
they meet the conditions of the contract which
are listed below:
• Minimum of a B in Intermediate Algebra
Honors
• Intermediate Algebra Honors Final > 80%
• Teacher Recommendation
