Upcoming Events
Resource Center Schedule: As you may know, the resource
center has been operating at an over flow capacity. To
relieve the overcrowding I am setting up two different sessions
in the resource center. The first session will be from 8:00 until
12:30. This means our first session of students will catch the 7:30
or 8:30 bus, depending on their grade level, and will return
back to town on 12:30 bus. The bus will then pick up the
second session students from Grant Line and Schulte road and
return to school. The second session will return back to Tracy at
4:30. This new schedule will start on Monday, March 16. Please
contact your teacher to schedule a session.
LCAP: There will be a parent LCAP meeting on April 1 at 5:30
pm. Please mark this on your calendar and come voice your
opinion. I would also like parent and student to take our LCAP
survey. Please log on to https://es.surveymonkey.com/s/F5Y2VBZ
Information Night: There will be a school information night on
April 16 at 6:00 pm. Please let you friends and neighbors know.
Dress Code: With warmer weather coming on please keep the
dress code in mind.
WASC Accreditation: DCO K-12 is now accredited! We are
now working on getting our classes A-G approved by the
university system.
Mock Interviews/Senior Portfolios: I am very concerned about
the lack of students scheduling their Mock Interviews and
Portfolio Presentations. It is important for students and parents
to remember that the Senior Portfolio Presentations are a
graduation requirement for our school and if not done, the
student will not graduate even if they have meet all credit
requirements. The Mock Interviews are being held March 24th
and Portfolios are April 20-23 & 27-30. Contact Ms. Wickline
at twickline@njes.org to reserve your day and times.

Caps and Gowns: Seniors may order their Cap and Gowns! Please
contact Ms. Wickline or Ms. Toohey for measuring. Orders are due
by April 2, 2015. Delta Charter will be purchasing the cap and
gowns this year, unless you want to keep yours. If you choose to
keep your cap and gown the cost will be $20.00. If you want to
purchase your cap and gown please see Jolene Hughes in the
office.
Senior Letters: Mrs. Smith has completed all of the senior letters and
your Teacher Advisor has a copy of those letters. The letters will be
mailed out this week, look for them in the mail soon. If you have any
questions please contact your Teacher Advisor.
Spanish Students: Please contact Sra. Bauer if you need any help or
have questions or concerns regarding the PowerSpeak
coursework. This semester the assignments are tied to a calendar to
help students pace through the course. Assignments not
completed by a “due date” will register as “past due” and will
calculate as a zero in the grade to date score, but as soon as the
student completes the assignment(s), the score adjusts. Please note
that whether or not a student is making full use of the assignment
calendar, all manually graded Spanish work must be completed by
May 22, 2015, for it to be scored. If you do not have a microphone
for submitting the speaking assignments, you may phone them in
and leave a voicemail recording of the assignment. Be sure to
include your name and the assignment title and/or description. You
can reach Sra. Bauer at nbauer@njes.org or (209) 830-6363

Magic Mountain. Reserve your spot today for Grad Night on May

Online Driver’s Ed. Course: We will be offering eligible students the
opportunity to complete an online driver’s education course
through www.safetydriversed.com . There will be no fee for this
course. Students, ages 15 to 18 may take the course. Once a
student turns 18 there is no longer a requirement to take a driver’s
education class prior to taking your written and behind the wheel
driving test. Please communicate with your Teacher Advisor if you
would like to take this course. Gary Phillips will then provide a URL to
enter the course and he will send an email to our contact at Safety
Driver Ed. to let them know to mark the course as paid. Once a
student has completed the course they will provide us with a copy
of the certificate, which they will receive in the mail. This copy will
be provided to our registrar and 2.5 credits will be placed on their
transcript with a P.

together toward student success. Our next PLP week is March 9th
