Grad Photo Information It is a tradition that the Nutrition Society gets a grad photo of all the year’s graduates and gives it to the Human Nutrition Department. When to do it? In January the photographer is here for grad photos at the SUB- Heckbert photography- go to tem and set up a date and time to do the photoPhotographer Heckbert Photography is the easiest to use since they are on campus doing grad photos anyways Where to Do it? We chose immaculate because it’s pretty, the contact to book this room is: Gowns and Hoods For the photo the grads will need the black gowns and hoods (colored things around the neck) These get rented from the Bookstore in the Sub- go there are get a form to fill out once you know the tentative date for the photo. You will be responsible for these gowns if they get damaged/lost etc. so make sure you’re organized! Sizes are tricky because you can’t get everyone to come over and try them on- these are the same as x-ring gowns so if they remember that number it would be the same, otherwise what we did was the lady at the bookstore told me I would be a 48 and then we sent an e-mail to the grads, gave them all the possible gown sizes, and told them to let us know what size they wanted. It’s easier this way, because then it’s not your fault if it’s too big/small. We didn’t have many problems. For people who don’t respond to tell you a size, just put them down for something and rent a gown anyways- better to have something than nothing Pick up the gowns yourself and take them to wherever the photo is being taken (get someone with a car to drive them over for you). Come up with a system to make sure you keep track of gowns and hoods- they are crazy at the bookstore and if one is missing then it’s you who pays! Grad List Ask Doris for a grad list- this isn’t the final list and some people may be on it that aren’t graduating and people might not be on it who are- so you kinda just have to do some digging and asking around to make sure everyone who needs to be is on the list- if there are people who you aren’t sure of and they don’t respond to e-mails – just put them down for a gown anyways, better to have extra Price The photo, frame and mounting comes out to about $250-300 Grads can order 8x10s for themselves for 20$
