DECISION
Proposal for a new undergraduate degree to be delivered
at Cambridge
Proposed Home/EU tuition fee of £9,000 (band C),
international fee tbc
Anticipated annual recruitment 30 FTE
No associated course deletion is proposed; the proposal is
part of planned discussions to expand the department’s
provision following Periodic Review 2013
Market research from the International Office indicate the
course will be attractive to eligible students from Brazil,
Columbia, Nigeria, Hong Kong and Malaysia
A January intake will be considered subsequently
63% new modules of 225 credits in total: associated
module deletions of 225 credits in total
The new modules will be available to five other courses
No significant capital spend, initially one new appointment

Proposal for a new postgraduate degree to be delivered in
collaboration with the Faculty of Science and Technology
Proposed Home/EU tuition fee of £5,665, international fee
£10,500
Anticipated annual recruitment 15 FTE
The course was identified as a strategic goal for both ALSS
and FST, the planned move of Gaming to Compass House
and recent Gaming staff appointments make this course
offering possible
50% new modules to be shared with proposal FST 14/05

international fee £10,500
Anticipated annual recruitment 10 FTE in Chelmsford and 10
FTE in Cambridgeshire
Accreditation with the Royal College of Nursing (RCN),
Advanced Nurse Practitioners programme accreditation
The course will allow graduate practitioners to advance their
clinical and non-clinical knowledge and skills in relation to
Advanced Nursing Practice
The course is aimed at the UK market and requires registration
with the Nursing Midwifery Council
33% existing modules, 60 new credits across two modules
No significant capital spend, appointment of Advanced Nursing
Practitioner lecturer(s) is necessary, a staff:student ratio of 15:1
is required by the RCN
