Hello Parents, The monthly theme for December is Winter Celebrations, home and family! Below is a schedule of weekly themes for speech therapy for the month. Books Music “The Holidays are Here” “The Gingerbread Man” “Little Rabbits Christmas” YouTube: Reindeer Pokey (KIBOMU KIDS SONGS) Sesame Street: Family Song (Sesame Street) Little Snowflake (Super Simple Songs) S-A-N-T-A (Super Simple Learning) Education Videos (YouTube) Family Words for Toddlers (ELF Kids Videos) Kids Learn About Home (ELF Kids Videos) Other Music: Must Be Santa (Raffi) My Dreidal (Raffi) Throughout the month, we will talk Winter Celebrations, including Christmas, Las Posadas, Kwanzaa, and Hanukkah. This will include nouns for different holiday food and traditions (Christmas tree, piñatas, basket of fruit) and activities/actions (light candles, walk, sing carols, play with special toys like Dreidals). In addition, we will talk about family members and home (furniture, rooms). We will also talk about actions such as falling snow, hanging lights, blowing out candles, giving/receiving gifts and other verbs associated with the holidays. Take the time to read books and look at pictures about our monthly theme, and/or walk around and talk about the rain and cold weather you see around home!
