GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
 Temporary seasonal, part-time position (~ 4 hours a week)
 Update program required consumer disclosure information for program required textbooks,
recommended and supplementary materials in print and online
 Draft new textbook or supplementary recommended materials available for each program upon
notification to prepare for circulation
DUTIES:
 Use AOMA campus management online tools, library resources, and internet resources to gather
data on existing internal and external textbook information and supplementary materials
pertaining to each program (MAcOM & DAOM)
 Verify current textbook and supplementary materials are up-to-date such as matching course with
required textbook, correct ISBN and retail price, etc.
 Meet weekly with supervisor(s) or designated representative to discuss researched information
for approval and further instructions to initiate updates of these disclosures according to AOMA
standards
 Follow-up with faculty/publisher information on any price changes, including the copyright dates
of the three previous editions of the textbook or supplementary material, if any. Refer to Dept. of
Ed. Instructions and guidance (GEN 10-09 & 2013 NASFAA power point available through
supervisor(s)
 Research alternative resources to purchase textbooks and supplies
 Work with Registrar to load any list changes in CAMS (Campus System)
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
 Must be currently enrolled student at AOMA, in good academic and financial standing, and
eligible for Federal Work Study
 Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office programs and browsers
 Ability to multi-task, exceptional organizational skills
 Communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
 Excellent computer skills: Word: typing, formatting, track-changes; Outlook
 Be able to understand role and write in an academically professional manner
 Professional demeanor; maintain confidentiality
 Passion for quality results; results oriented
 Self-starter, solid work ethic
 Experience working in a higher education institution helpful but not required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
 Extended computer use, periodic use of phone system, walking, extended sitting times,
determines, distinguishes, identifies, recognizes, perceives, estimates, judges, inspects,
compares, observes, assesses. Attention to detail essential, including proofreading documents
and lines of text and numbers, visual discrimination
