Canterbury City Council JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Marlowe Theatre, Theatre Crew (0 Hours contract) Department: Strategic Director Velia Coffey Division: Culture and Enterprise Services (Marlowe Theatre) Grade: 1 Reports To: Technical Manager Manages: None Main Purpose: To work as a member of the Marlowe Theatre technical team to deliver an excellent standard of technical support for incoming productions through work on Stage, Lighting, Sound or Wardrobe. Duties: 1. To work alongside other Technical Staff to effect the safe and efficient installation and operation of visiting producers’ equipment as directed. 2. To attend to the needs of the incoming production as directed by the Marlowe Theatre Technicians 3. To work with agreed resource and within agreed time scales at all times. 4. To attend appropriate training for technical staff. 5. To manage own time in an effective, efficient and prudent manner. 6. At all times to work within relevant Health and Safety and Employment legislation. 7. To work anti-social hours, including evenings, nights, weekends, and statutory holidays, as required and necessary. 8. To complete a monthly time sheet and to submit it by given deadlines 9.
