What is Schematics?
Schematics is the procedure of simulate a circuit by drawing the circuit in the Schematics window.
After drawing the circuit we can analysis the voltage and current properties at different node or section
of the circuit.
To open a new schematic window
1) Go to START menu > Program or All Program
2) Go to MicroSim Eval 8 > Schematic
A new window is ready for design circuits.
To place the voltage sources
1) Select Get New Part from the Draw menu to display the Part
Browser dialog box.

2 )Type VDC in the Part Name text box.
3 )Click on Place & Close.
4 )Move the cursor to position the source at the desired
location on the schematic page.
5 )Click to place the source.
To place the resistor

Select Get New Part from the Draw menu to display the Part.Browser dialog box.

Go to the Part Browser dialog box.

Type R in the Part name text box.

Select the resistor

Click on Place (to leave the dialog box open) or Place &

Close (to close the dialog box).

Press Clt+r to rotate the resistor outline to the desired

orientation.
For selecting other components
Follow similar steps as described for the resistor to place the components listed below.
resistors (R),capacitor (C), VAC, VSIN, ground symbols (EGND) or GND_EARTH etc
To connect the components
1 Select Wire from the Draw menu to enter wiring mode. The
cursor changes to a pencil.
2 Click on the connection point (the very end) of the pin on a part, then click on the other end of the
another parts. In these way connect all the parts of the circuit.
To change the value of a device
1 Double-click on the value for the device.
2 Type the new value in the Edit Value dialog box.
