Coach,
I am writing to you on behalf of two of my current players. Bernie Porter and Jay Weemhoff
are both juniors (graduating class of 2015) on my team at Kenston High School. They both
were selected as first team ALL-CVC players and named to the Northeast Ohio ALL-District
team. Although they are both guards, they both possess different skill sets. Bernie is a
pure point who can shoot the ball very well. His handles are above average and he does an
outstanding job running the team. Jay is a scorer and can score in multiple ways. He very
crafty and has ability to score in bunches. Both players are outstanding prospects and
ultimate competitors. We play in the very competitive CVC (Chagrin Valley Conference)
and have won six of the last nine titles in our league. Attached you will find links to both
players. Feel free to contact me further about either player of mine. I wish you much luck
and hope to hear from you.
Kind Regards,
Josh Jakacki

Coaches Comments: Bernie has led us in minutes played the past two seasons. He
was the only player to have started every game last two years. Bernie is a fearless
competitor who is a leader both on and off the court. He is not afraid to take the
tough shot. He is a very skilled and quick point who can attack the basket and
demonstrates good change of speed off the bounce. Bernie led our league in assists
and steals this past season. He has the potential to be a very good college
basketball player. His jump-shot is much improved and he has developed his game
throughout the course of the off-season. Bernie is the consummate point guard that
is the hardest worker I’ve coached in my thirteen years as head coach. He’d be a
great asset to any college program.
