We are sending you this letter to kindly request a donation to support OneLegacy Foundation and the
Donate Life Rose Parade Float’s mission to save lives by inspiring people to say ‘yes’ to organ, eye and
tissue donation.
On Monday, December 30, 2013, we will host our Annual Donate Life Rose Parade Float Gala Dinner
and Silent Auction. We anticipate over 500 people will attend this event. Most of the attendees will be
families of deceased donors, transplant recipients, transplant surgeons, organ and tissue recovery
professionals, and others affiliated with the Donate Life mission.
The purpose of this evening is to raise funds for OneLegacy Foundation’s support of the Donate Life
Rose Parade Float, which helps to inspire people to donate life by enrolling in state organ and tissue
donor registries. More than 110,000 Americans are in need of a life-saving organ transplant; their hope
rests in the generosity of others. The need is urgent, and you can help.
Your contribution will support our efforts to inspire the nation through our participation in the Rose
Parade, which reaches more than 35 million people through national television broadcasts and tens of
millions more through hundreds of news stories generated by the media’s interest in Donate Life float
participants’ courage and generosity in the face of overwhelming adversity.
All donations are tax deductible as allowed by law. Completion of the attached Auction Commitment
Form (including the “Value of Item” field) ensures that we have the information required to provide
verification of items received. All items must be received by, December 15, 2013.
