S.A.S Service on Saturday
Site Leader Application
Fall 2015
The Service on Saturday Site Leaders serve as an integral part to the
success of Service on Saturday community service projects. Site Leaders
report to SoS Co-Chairs and are the primary contacts between assigned
agencies and SoS participants. Site Leaders are also expected to
represent the University of Memphis, Students Advocating Service and
hold volunteers accountable.
Responsibilities include:
 Lead groups of student volunteers to and at a site during Service of
Saturdays
 Maintain contact with the host agency of assigned site
 Provide brief information about the site for volunteers
 Be prepared to facilitate ice breakers for your volunteers
 Keep track of participants’ whereabouts during the service
 Serve as a role model to fellow students at Service on Saturdays
 Assist with set up and break down
 Commit to at least two assigned Service on Saturdays
 Attend at least one weekly S.A.S project this semester
 Other duties as assigned
APPLICATIONS ARE DUE September 4, 2015 by 4:30pm
IN THE STUDENT LEADERSHIP & INVOLVEMENT OFFICE

Interviews will be held on September 9th, 2015. Selected site leaders will be
notified by September 12th, 2015. If chosen as a site leader, there will be a
mandatory training September 16, 2015 at 5:30pm-8pm.
