ANNOUNCING OUR NEW MED-SURG PARTNER
We are pleased to announce a new national collaborative program with McKesson Medical Surgical. Because
our practices have different needs, it was necessary for PPN to find a medical surgical solution that would
allow our member practices the opportunity to participate in several manufacturer GPO contracts to gain the
best pricing and products. McKesson has been able to fulfill 99.5% of all orders submitted for IV solutions for
participating practices. For these reasons we have chosen McKesson Medical Surgical to be the preferred
distribution vendor for our medical supplies/equipment and to specifically negotiate manufacturer contracts on
behalf of our national aggregate membership. After an extensive market analysis, McKesson Medical Surgical
has proven to have the most competitive pricing, dedicated customer service team, and robust technologies.
We believe this contract will better serve our members and assist in achieving your overall purchasing and
service goals.
1. McKesson Medical Surgical is a market leader with a proven track record in performance and customer
satisfaction.
2. McKesson Medical Surgical has the contracting expertise and works with multiple manufacturers to help
members leverage their overall purchasing volume to capture the best contract costs/price for its members.
The main advantage of the new contract is the benefit of aggregated volume and how that is represented to
negotiate pricing with the manufactures. Through this new contract we can achieve much higher aggregation
with the ability to offer this nationally and to other specialties.
3. McKesson Medical Surgical has aligned their corporate and contracting resources to aid the PPN
medical supply program development resulting in significant savings and efficiencies. The program is
designed to increase practice profitability and save members in excess of 10 – 30%, while also providing
additional savings through standardization of products by evaluating high-quality/lower-cost alternatives.
In the coming days, you will receive communications to initiate the transition of your practice.
