JOB OPPORTUNITY In support of the Irish Government’s jobs strategy and in particular the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation Action Plan for Jobs (2014), IDA has launched an exciting and innovative new programme entitled ‘Winning Abroad’. This investment programme, will be run over a full 3 year period commencing in 2014, with an overarching target of winning new investments and an additional 10,000 jobs for Ireland, from traditional industries and markets in addition to newer or emerging markets and sectors. To enable the delivery of these 10,000 additional jobs over the period, IDA has been given approval by the Irish Government to recruit 35 additional resources globally, on fixed term contracts for a period of three years. As part of this recruitment drive, IDA is now seeking to recruit a Marketing Executive, on a fixed term contract, based in our Mountain View office for a three year period. JOB TITLE: BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT EXECUTIVE LOCATION: INTERNATIONAL FINANCIAL SERVICES – (MOUNTAIN VIEW, USA) AD NUMBER: WA012 JOB PURPOSE The purpose of the role is to win investment from international financial services firms based in the territory overseen by our USA West Coast offices (Mountain View and Irvine). KEY TASKS: The role, in line with the strategic objectives set out in IDA Ireland’s Winning Abroad initiative, involves:- Winning investments from international financial services firms based in the relevant territories; Identifying and developing investment opportunities from existing clients and target companies operating across Banking, Asset Management, Insurance, Investment Funds, Private Equity and Aircraft Leasing etc; To raise IDA’s profile in the relevant target markets To work with companies with potential to invest or reinvest in Ireland and to build a strong pipeline of investments from the territory, converting them into investment approvals while working closely with the global team in pursuit of the Division’s business targets; To engage with and influence C-level Executives in companies and identify job creating opportunities for Ireland. The ability to sell client centered solutions based on highlighting the fit between the client’s needs and Ireland’s offering; To demonstrate knowledge of and to fluently articulate Ireland’s value proposition for International Financial Services; In conjunction with the relevant global team in Ireland, to actively engage with and contribute to the Client Development Process (CDP) creating new, or developing existing business opportunities for the purpose of creating long term sustained employment; To actively develop and manage high value industry networking opportunities across the territory in order to secure investments; To contribute to the organisation and execution of Irish Government/Ministerial visits and other marketing programmes as appropriate; To capture and share relevant market place and sectoral intelligence with the global team; To operate as part of a cohesive team in the office, the territory and across the globe; To ensure dignity, respect and equality are applied in all interactions with people both internally and externally; To commit to continuous learning and development of self and to share knowledge with colleagues through utilisation of the CRM system KEY COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: Sales and Marketing Client Focused Relationship Building Negotiation and Influencing Communications and Personal Effectiveness Knowledge of the Business Networking ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: Work permit for the United States, valid for 3 years from start of employment with IDA; 5 Years+ International Business Development and Relationship Management Experience Experience of working with Senior C-Suite executives in Global Multinational Corporations Strong Business Development, Relationship Management, Financial and Analytical Capability Drive, Motivation and Enthusiasm to win investments for Ireland Full driving licence is essential.
