JOB TITLE: HE Admissions and Systems Officer
KNOWLEDGE
Awareness of key challenges within the Higher Education sector
Awareness and empathy of the core business of AUB
Understanding of the key deliverables of the job: to maximise the number
of acceptances and enrolments from student applications, to maintain
background tables in the SITs database, to lead on communication
messages for applicants, to present at Open Days
Demonstration of specialist knowledge required for job to include the
UCAS application cycle
SKILLS
MS Office skills – proficient in the use of word, excel, outlook and as
appropriate for the post
Ability to work effectively in a team whilst being able to work independently
Excellent administrative and organisational skills
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Specialist/Technical skills required for the job to include detailed
knowledge of complex databases
EXPERIENCE
Experience of working in an environment relevant to the post
Experience of working within higher education
Experience of office administration
Experience of communication strategies to engage with stakeholders
Experience of working within specialist area of using systems to manage
key business processes and to be able maintain and develop these
processes
QUALIFICATIONS
Degree level qualification or equivalent qualification or experience
Subject related qualification (where appropriate for the role)
Level 3 qualification and/or equivalent experience
GCSE Maths and English, minimum grade C and/ or equivalent
qualification/experience
