The Business and Development Leader will be experienced at working at a senior level and will be
prepared to lead, inspire and challenge. They will have a proven track record of success in the
delivery of support services and managing transformational change. They will be versatile thinker
who can look forwards and outwards to develop and champion innovative solutions.
Education & Qualifications
Good Honours Degree
Management or equivalent related professional
qualification such CSBM/DSBM/ADSBM
Evidence of Continuing Professional Development
Beyond first degree level in business administration,
accounting or related disciplines CIMA/CIPFA or equivalent
A recognised qualification in facilities management, health
and safety or human resources
Experience
Evidence of successful management and leadership of a
diverse team or teams eg. Finance, HR H&S, Facilities
Significant experience of managing strategic financial
planning for a school or other organisation
Experience of strategic business planning and the
development of business opportunities including bid writing
to secure funding and managing income generating
enterprises in an educational environment
Leading and developing effective financial and
administrative systems and procedures
Successful track record of managing complex projects from
inception to completion
Experience of working as a member of a senior team.
Experience with working with school governors, trustees or
a board of directors
Experience of monitoring and negotiating a range of
contracts such as Facilities Management to ensure value for
money and key performance indicator requirements are
met
Experience of using Financial Management systems
