General Terms and Conditions
Following Austrian legislation exclusively commercial traders who are in
possession of a valid trade authorization are admitted for open food sales.
1. Event days, Buildup & Teardown
The event days of the first Vienna Food Truck Park in the Ottakringer Brewery are:
Saturday, 19th of September, 12:00 – 22:00 hrs
Sunday, 20th of September, 10:00 – 18:00 hrs
The contracting partners have to offer dishes during the whole event.
The buildup hours are on Saturday between 07:00 am and 11:00 am. After that no vehicle is allowed to enter
the area anymore. Please allow sufficient time to enter since a large number of vehicles is planning to attend.
Upon check-in each food truck will be allocated a position. The booking-confirmation is to be produced.
The assigned parking positions are to be respected, emergency exits routes are to be kept in order.
The teardown may begin immediately after termination of the event but exit is only possible after 18:30 hrs.
The teardown must be completed on Sunday at 21:00 hrs.
2. Serving of Dishes, Vending and Pricing
The exhibitors are entitled to sell food only. Until 3 weeks prior to the event a choice of at least two dishes,
including their selling price have to be stated to the organizer (This information is being distributed publicly). All
changes are to be reviewed by the organizer.
The policy on pricing remains to every exhibitors. – We are convinced that the experience and the market sets
its common market-price. However, the organizer reserves the right to adapt prices which deviate highly from
the prize field.
The experience has shown that „half a dish” or medium sized dishes“ are very popular. – Hence, we ask you, in
own interest, to offer smaller servings. – Thus every visitor can also visit several Food trucks.
We calculate on a number of 3000 visitors each event day, with about 15 Food trucks presenting. But there is
no guarantee stated for this information.
The Food truck park Vienna takes place in the Ottakringer brewery of Vienna (Ottakringer Platz 1, 1160 Wien).
Therefore the drink assortment is predetermined and the sale of beverages is unwanted and possible only in
exceptions and in arrangement with the organizer.
3. Booking of Parking Location
The parking location is assigned according to the information, which was given with the registration. Also the
electricity supply is provided in order to the given electricity needs. If there are any additional items needed,
this has to be arranged with the organizer.
The stands are allocated only in combination with booking of both event days (19. + award 20th of September).
– Exceptions are to be clarified with the organizer.
The stand reservation is valid only after receipt of the infrastructure all-inclusive fee. – Information concerning
this will be sent by email. A re-confirmation will be sent within 2 working days after receipt of the fee. A
reservation can be rejected any time by the organizer without reasons given or be recanted.
The booking may be cancelled until 21 days before the event, free of charge and all expenditures are refunded.
Within 21 days before the event the infrastructure-all-inclusive can be refunded only up to 50%. Within the last
7 days before the event there will be no refund at all.
4. Deposit
With billing the organizer has to charge a deposit of 100.00€ which is to be brought forward in advance. This
deposit serves the security of compliance to market organization, as well as miscellaneous legal regulations.
(Compliance to opening times, sufficient food, fire extinguisher, correct information with the registration,
tidiness of the sales place, etc.) The organizer reserves the right to keep the deposit by offence against market
rules. After proper check out and after everything has run off without complaint, the deposit will be returned
thoroughly.
5. Complimentary tickets
Every exhibitor is granted free tickets for both event days to guarantee a free entry to his team.
6. Tidiness and Cleanup
There will be a cleaning team keeping the event area clean. However, every exhibitor is obliged to keep his
stand as well as its surroundings in prefect conditions.
The disposal of the garbage is possible on site. Food leftovers are to be disposed in the food refuse bins
provided. – The observance of the waste politics will be controlled and avenged – Advice of the the responsible
staff has to be respected and abided. In case of offence it is left to the organizer to ban the exhibitor if
necessary.
7. Infrastructure & Technics
The pre-paid infrastructure-all-inclusive encloses: Supply of electricity as given in the registration form. We try
hard to keep the distance to the next electricity-distributor as short as possible. From there on electricity is to
be distributed autonomous by the exhibitors. Please make sure to have sufficient lengthening and power
distributors at hand. In case of a power breakdown the organizer assumes no liability for any sales losses.
Lighting: The event area will be sufficiently lit, the separate Food trucks are to be lighted autonomously. Toilet
arrangements exist. Garbage bins for leftovers are available and their right use is supervised (also and
especially by local food authorities). Residual waste bins are also available. Please use them according to their
regulation. A standpipe will be provided.
8. Tableware
We pay special attention to sustainability, hence, we ask you to sell your dishes in ecologically friendly
packaging and to avoid plastic wrapping. The organizer provides no dishes, cutlery, napkins or similar.
However, the organizer is happy to provide contacts to aid you. The right of selling drinks oblige exclusively to
the organizer by using a returnable system.
9. Promotion & Marketing
Information material are provided for visitors, which contains information about the Food Trucks and their
dishes and where they are located at the Food Truck Park Vienna. – The amount and quality of information we
get from you, the more the visitors know and visit you. Every participant is asked to hand over at least two
print quality (300 dpi) photos of the Food Truck and at least two print quality (300 dpi) photos of the offered
food, to the organizer. The organizer reserves the right to use these information for promotion purposes. To
promote the participating Food Trucks in the best possible way we also need the links to various on-line
resources like website, Facebook profile and other social media. For our collective success we ask you to blend
in your social network to promote the Food Truck Park Vienna.
10. Legal Provisions
The participating exhibitors at the Food Truck Park Vienna are obliged to conform to Austrian law, as for
example the industrial code, hygiene laws, etc. as valid in Austria. The exhibitor has to provide payment of
Austrian entertainment tax as well as other fiscal taxes. We will give you more information and help if needed.
The participation in the Food Truck Park Vienna is only possible only by consent to the marketing regulations.
11. Insurance / Liabilities
If the holding of the Food Truck Park Vienna is impossible due to force of nature, no cross-liability may be
claimed.
The event takes place under all weather conditions. The vehicles stand outside even though. There will be
enough seating and tables provided for visitors within the roofed area of the brewery.
There will be a Security Team present on both event days. The organizer takes no liability for injuries, theft,
losses or material damages by third parties. No compensation demands may be asserted against the organizer.
The entrance of the event happens at one’s own risk. The organizer is liable for acts of gross negligence by him
or his fulfillment assistants. The organizer assumes no liability for consequences to health resulting of the
consumption of offered dishes.
