ITM Polska – industry, business and science on a global level Nearly 50% of the ITM Polska exhibitors are foreign companies. Austria, Belgium, China, the Czech Republic, Denmark, France, the Netherlands, India, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, Taiwan, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom, Italy – those are just some of the countries represented at the Fair in Poznań. It is therefore not surprising that the largest industrial fair in our country is more and more often listed among the most important industry events in Europe. The purpose of the ITM Polska Fair (June 9-12, 2015) is the presentation and promotion of industrial achievements on a global scale. Thus the Fair enables entrepreneurs to make a business step into the future to an extent unmatched by any other event in Poland. The ITM Polska Fair is an example of a perfect marriage of industry, business and science. It is attended by almost 1,000 exhibitors who present innovative machines and solutions for such industry branches as transportation, motorization, surface treatment, railway, welding, iron and steel, metallurgy, plastic metal processing, varnishing or health and safety. Moreover, the achievements of engineers, project teams and research centres are also presented – innovations and cutting-edge solutions that are adopted by industry, enabling to increase the efficiency of equipment, optimize the work in manufacturing plants and increase the market attractiveness and competitiveness of companies. The ITM Polska Fair is an important landmark on the way to become a company of the future. The industry range of ITM Polska includes 7 thematic exhibitions: Mach-Tool (machines and tools), Surfex (surface treatment), Hape (hydraulics, pneumatics, drives), Metalforum (steel and iron, metallurgy, metal industry), Weldnig (welding industry), Nauka dla gospodarki (Science for the Economy – academic achievements of research institutes), BHP (Occupational Health and Safety in industry). At the same time, the Subcontracting – Industrial Subcontracting Exhibition and Subcontracting ITM Meetings are also held. Learn the power of innovation – new products at the Exhibition On the surface area of 9 exhibition halls, new products on the market and the products the quality and innovation of which has been recognized by a group of specialists are presented. On the stands the visitors will have an opportunity to see the latest models of laser, plasma and water cutters, press brakes, machining, turning and electrical discharge, industrial robots, optical measurement systems, stationary and pneumatic riveters, deburring machines, welding heads or chain blocks. Visitors to the Fair will also become familiar with the most modern software for production and machine operation management. Among the most modern machinery, equipment, technologies and services presented at the Fair, special attention should be paid to the products whose quality has been appreciated by the group of experts of the MTP Gold Medal Competition Jury. This year, they have selected 25 products, the list of which can be found on the Fair website (www.machtool.mtp.pl). When visiting the exhibition, it is worth paying attention as well to the dark blue triangular signs with the inscription NOWOŚĆ (NEW PRODUCT), which will surely facilitate navigation for those who come to Poznań to see the market premieres and innovations. This year's innovations included, among other things, the MX520 MATSUURA brand 5-axis vertical machining centre and the TS4000YS horizontal turning centre by the TAKISAWA company, which are presented by APX Technologies at their company's stand. The Seron company has in its offer such new products as the FIBER 20W laser engraver and CNC Seron plasma plotter, while the BOSCHERT company presents CombiLaser – a tool and laser cutter and Stierli 420CNC/WP – a horizontal bending press. Innovation can be also admired at the stand of GF Machining Solutions: Agie Charmilles deepseated electrical discharge centre: FORM 200 with the iGAP technology, surface texturing technology, iQ module and fast Accura-C rotation axis. The IPG PHOTONICS company presents a laser oscillating head and fibre lasers of the YLS series, and at the stand of the ITA company the visitors will find the 3D HandySCAN manual scanner. There are many other new products presented at the Fair, so it is worth looking around for signs that point to them. The power of innovation in practice – listen to what the experts say The exhibitors' offer is supplemented with conferences, lectures and live shows. In Poznań, the event dedicated to domestic aluminium industry will have its premiere – a conference organized by the publisher of the Nowa Stal magazine: "Aluminium 2015. Business Trends Technologies" (June 11). The conference aims to identify current trends and potential directions of development of one of the most innovative sectors of the Polish economy. A new element of this edition of the Fair is a platform for cooperation and transfer of innovation, the aim of which is to allow Polish and foreign companies and scientific and research centres to establish cooperation allowing for mutual use and application of the achievements in the area of innovation (June 10). The initiative called "Polish innovation for the world, world innovation for Poland" has been created by the organizer of the Stanisław Staszic Competition for the best innovative products - the Laurel of Innovation - the partner of which is Międzynarodowe Targi Poznańskie. A prestigious event that will take place in Poznań for the thirteenth time already, is the Engineering Forum (June 9) with its theme oscillating around innovative technology in medicine. The Mechanic's Day (June 10) will be held for the fourth time already. It is also worth paying attention to the seminar on stainless steel in steel structures (June 10). From the perspective of the surface treatment industry, the representatives of which gathered around the Surfex Exhibition will certainly find the seminar entitled "Traditional and Innovative Surface Treatments and Constituted Properties of Surface Layers of Machine Parts" interesting (June 10). As part of the Surfex Exhibition, also the Skills Training Camp is held, which is a contact platform for technologists and suppliers of the latest applications and their customers, i.e. companies offering varnishing or other types of surface treatment. It is also a forum for sharing knowledge and information on the latest developments in the field of surface treatment. Special attention should be also paid to the seminars dedicated to treatment: "Treatment in Poland. Market, Business, Innovation!" and the Metal Forming Seminar entitled "Science for Technological and Material Innovation" (June 10) Once again, during the ITM Polska Fair as part of the CAD/CAM Exhibition, design workshops for professionals entitled "360 Degrees of Design" will be held (June 10 and 11). Work Safety in Industry As part of the ITM Polska Fair, once again the Work Safety in Industry Exhibition will be held. For employers, heads of departments and health and safety services employees from industrial plants, as well as representatives of wholesalers and distributors from across the country, it is an opportunity to learn about the latest products and solutions in the field of labour protection. In Hall 4, the exhibitors will present personal and collective protection equipment, protection against falls from heights, and first aid means and equipment. This year's exhibition novelty are the solutions for safe warehouse work The Work Safety in Industry Exhibition is held in odd-numbered years, alternating with the SAWO International Fair of Work Protection, Fire-Fighting and Rescue Equipment. An advantage of the Exhibition held under the honorary patronage of the Chief Labour Inspector is the extensive programme of events prepared by the most important institutions dealing with that issue, e.g. the National Labour Inspectorate and the Central Institute for Labour Protection - National Research Institute. The 2nd Warehouse Safety Forum, organized by the Warehouse Technology Polish Association, also promises to be interesting.
