Cooled Semen Contract
1) Breeding season, contract parties and horses. This contract is for the 2016
breeding season (from February 15- June 15) and is between On Target Livestock
and ____________________________ herein referred to as “Mare owner” for the mare
named
; breed association and
registration number
. The mare
is to be bred to BlueTimesTwo Hancock (Blue Roan Stallion AQHA # 4236575)
2) Fees: The stud fee is $500 which is non-refundable. The mare owner will also pay a
$250 per shipment and the applicable overnight or same day (i.e. counter-to-counter)
carrier fee.
3) Payment of fees. The stud fee is payable upon receipt of the contract. The $250
collect fee is due before or at the time each collection is collected. A fee of $200 will be
charged if reusable shipping container is NOT returned within 72 hours. The
disposable shipping container is not required to be returned but a fee of $40 is
charged to cover the cost of the container. (which container do you prefer disposable
or reusable) The collection fee is to be paid in full prior to shipment. NO
EXCEPTIONS!
4) Collection Schedule. On Target Livestock will collect on Monday, Wednesday and
Friday for deliveries on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Request for semen MUST
be received by 5:00pm CST the day prior to shipment. There is a limit of two
shipments per mares per cycle. Each Shipment will contain two doses (enough for two
inseminations).
5) Live Foal Guarantee. A live foal is defined in this contract as a newborn foal that
stands and nurses. If the foal is born dead, there are return breeding privileges for the
2017 season only if On Target Livestock is notified within 7 days and receives a
veterinarian’s statement confirming the death of the foal and under what
circumstances the foal died. If the mare is found to be unfit or unable to carrying a
foal, an approved substitute mare may be used.
6) Genetic Testing – BlueTimesTwo Hancock. BlueTimesTwo Hancock has been, color
tested (EE, Aa Rn/n), and 5 disease panel (N/N).
7) Breeder’s certificate. The stallion owner, Hillary or Ryan McGregor, will provide the
required Breeder’s certificate upon notification of the birth of the foal.
8) Contract. This contract represents the entire agreement between the parties. No other
agreements or promises, verbal or implied, are included unless specifically stated in
this written contract. When the Mare owner and On Target Livestock sign this contract,
it will be binding on both parties, subject to the above terms and conditions. This
contract is entered into in the state of Louisiana and will be interpreted and enforced
under the law of this state.
