SENIORS – Jostens will be here TODAY during both lunch hours to take cap & gown
orders and Senior Item Orders. Please have your forms filled out and ready to turn-in!
Freshmen class: our Fannie May fundraiser is coming to an end! Make sure to get all order forms
and money turned in to Miss DeHeer by next Monday. If you are already done selling, you can
turn in your envelope early.
Freshman class: Remember to be selling your Fannie May! Orders and money are due to Miss
DeHeer by Monday, November 16th!
The prizes are as follows:
 one box = candy bar
 8 boxes = free box
 10 boxes = envelope of cash
 20 boxes = entered into the drawing for $1000
 Top seller = $50
The next Mobile Food Truck coming to South Wilmington on Monday, November 16th from 46pm at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church.
Attention SENIORS! If you are interested in helping with decorations for the gym walls for
homecoming please come to a meeting Thursday, November 19th between lunches! We will
also discuss homecoming shirts! If you have any questions please see Mrs. Leigh!

 Girls Basketball = will be called out a few minutes before the bell.
All interlibrary loan books (books Mrs. Morgan has got for you from another library) are to be
turned in by Monday, November 23, 2015. Thanks!
The NHS Blood drive will be held Wed, Nov. 18th from 2:00-6:30 in the cafe. Walk-ins are
always welcome, but if you would like to make an appointment please let us know and we will

The Student Council would like to thank everyone who came out and supported the walk on
Saturday. Also, thank you to everyone who donated. So far we have raised $500 for the ACS.
We would like to see that number grow. We still have shirts for sale. They are $15 and for every
shirt sold we will donate another $10 to cancer research. See Mrs. A sometime this week if you
would like one.

SPORTS:
Girls Basketball pictures will be TODAY after school.
Mr. Leigh is looking for a reliable person to be a manager for the basketball team. You will be
paid $0 dollars an hour but will earn the respect and admiration of Mr. Leigh which we all know
is worth much more than what money can buy. If interested, talk to Mr. Leigh ASAP as our first
game is on Monday, Nov. 16th!
CROSS COUNTRY: If you have not turned in your uniform yet, it needs to be returned by
TODAY!
The following girls need to turn in their volleyball uniform ASAP:

Any GIRL who is interested in playing soccer in the Spring should see Coach Gibson sometime
this week to sign-up.
ATTENTION WINTER SPORTS ATHLETES: If you have not yet paid your activity fee for
your winter sport, please do so as soon as possible. If you are not sure if you have paid, please
contact Coach Gibson. Also – all forms must be completed before the first practice of the season.
If you are missing a form, please take care of this as soon as possible.
The athletic department is looking for one SPIRITED individual to carry the Panther Spirit Flag
at some home events. If interested, contact Coach Gibson.
Athletic Season Passes are available for purchase. Please contact Coach Gibson to purchase a
pass.
GUIDANCE:
Operation St. Nick is granting Christmas wishes up to $2,500 for 12 Grundy County
families. To enter you must be a resident of Grundy County, serving in the military or
honorably discharged, and submit your entry form by 5 pm on Monday, November 16th.
Forms are available in the guidance office.
Any seniors planning to become a school nurse, school psychologist, instructional media
specialist, or social worker, there is a scholarship opportunity. Please see guidance office
for more information.
Students if you are interested in taking the ASVAB test at GSW, please sign up in the guidance
office. Students planning to join the military will need to take this test sometime before they
enlist. It is also a great way for any student unsure about his/her future career path to explore
areas that may be a good fit for his/her skill set. We need to gauge the number of students
interested before the test can be set up. Please sign up ASAP if you are interested.
Seniors - If you plan to enter the workforce after high school and would like help with your letter
of application and resume stop by the guidance office to pick up a packet.
If you have volunteered your time to improve our community and would like to be recognized
with the Prudential Spirit of the Community Award you can complete an application to be
considered for this award. More information is available at http://spirit.prudential.com.
Seniors interested in the John F. Kennedy Essay Contest...winner receives $10,000,
visit jfklibrary.org or visit guidance. Deadline is January 6, 2016.
Students, if you are interested in being involved with a county wide youth philanthropy group
stop by the guidance office for more information. This is a great opportunity to get involved!
Financial Aid Night has been set for 6 pm on Wednesday, January 27th in the cafeteria. This is a
very important informational meeting for any student planning to attend college.
JJC COMPASS Testing has been set for 8 am on Thursday, February 18th at GSW.
Juniors and Seniors - If you are interested in a week long program on government and leadership
this March taking place in Washington DC, stop by the guidance office to get application
information or visit www.ussenateyouth.org.
If you are interested in attending a private college in Wisconsin, please stop by the guidance
office to pick up an admission and financial aid guide.
If you are planning to take the ACT register at www.actstudent.org. See Ms. Kilmer if you need
assistance.
Pointe Pest Control - $750 scholarship for graduating high school senior. Must have a 3.0
