In July 2011, National Life Group launched their Modernization Project
designed to improve their workplace environment.
The main goal was to
promote team collaboration and openness, favoring larger communal areas
along with natural light and healthier air circulation. The endeavor not only
contributed to a healthier workspace, but helped cut down on expenses.
With consideration to environment at forefront of the entire project,
National Life engaged Green Standards to manage the daunting task of
what to do with their older office furniture and materials.
“We were
adamant that these assets could be re-used or recycled properly and avoid a
landfill”, said Tim Shea, 2nd VP, Facilities and Purchasing at National Life, “We
also feel strongly in giving back to the community to make a difference and
Green Standards helped us find the way.”
