Quality Engineer
The Quality Engineer routinely performs design and Quality work per specification within the
projects defined architecture. He/She will apply Quality Engineering disciplines in approaching
testing. This may include test plans, test outlines, testing methodology (white box vs black
box), automation testing and issue tracking. This candidate will be responsible for cost
estimation, scheduling of assigned component and tracking tasks as it relates to the overall
project.
This person should have at least 5 years of Quality Engineering experience, be able to juggle
many projects and likes working in small teams. Having knowledge of structure finance would
be a plus.
Responsibilities:
1) Applies Quality Software disciplines and methodologies to testing Lewtan Products
2) Provide project lead time estimates for implementations
3) Develop, test plans and testing within time estimates
4) Mentors Software Engineers and associated colleagues when required
5) Prepare for and participate in design, code, and other reviews
6) Focus on effective and efficient problem solving methods; does not use a “shotgun”
approach to solving problems.
7) Focus time on “high return” activities; avoids distractions of non-essential details or
activities
8) Strives to understand problems and needs prior to giving estimates, design or coding
9) Fully completes assignments and projects on time and on budget; actively assists others in
achieving the same
10) Work cooperatively across all teams, groups and with all team members to ensure
assignments and projects proceed smoothly. Practice conflict resolution principles, which
ensure that the team and Product Development succeed in meeting their goals.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field required.
Experience






Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Quality Engineering environment.
Preferably experience in Financial Services/Structured Finance.
Both manual and automation testing.
Operating systems and database subsystems such as Oracle and SQL Server.
Proven problem solving skills in a technical environment.
Clear written and verbal communication skills.
