Lesson Plans are due by 7:30 a.m. on Monday mornings.

Monday, October 6th has Friday duty schedule. Duty begins at 6:50.

Exams: October 7—1st & 3rd block; October 8—2nd & 4th.
STUDENTS
 This week is National 4H Week!!! 4H grows confident young people with the skills to confront the
issues of life today, and thrive in careers tomorrow. 4H, the nation’s largest youth development
organization, empowers six million kids throughout the United States to become more confident
capable, caring young people who are making a positive impact in their communities.
 4H members can wear their LHS 4H shirts with uniform bottoms on Friday, October 10 in honor of
National 4H Week.
 4H Healthy Lifestyles Fun Walk/Run is Thursday, October 9 at Gramercy Park at 5:00. $15 for 4H
members and $20 for non-4H members, preregister at 4H office or same day registration at the park.
For more information see Mrs. Williamson in the library.
 Book Club meeting Thursday, October 9 at 7:00 a.m. in the library.
 FCA meeting Thursday, October 9 at 6:00 p.m. in the Pound.
 Student Council will have a mandatory meeting on October 15 in the library.
 Attention juniors and seniors: Josten’s will be here Wednesday, October 8 from 4:00-7:00 in the
cafeteria for you to place your orders for class rings and cap & gown packages.
 Any senior who owes on their senior jacket must pay before October 15 in order to receive their jacket
at the picnic.
 The Rave: “All of the Lights” school dance will be hosted by Lutcher high School Student Council on
Saturday October 18th in the cafeteria, the dance will be held from 8:30p.m -11:00 p.m. for Lutcher
High School students 9-12 only. Tickets are $5 and will be sold at the door. Dance dress code: No crop
or bra top shirts allowed, bottoms must be appropriate length: no short shorts, mini skirts, or short
dresses, and Jeans cannot have holes. School I.D. must be shown at door to enter. Dress in bright
neon colors. Come out and have fun!
 Mrs. V. would like to wish the following art show participants good luck as they compete in the River
Region Art Show this weekend: Colin Berthelot, Kiron Gauff, Chelsea Roussel, Wryn Williamson,
Miranda Theisges, Marli Poche, Kayla Bangs, Dustin Bauer and Aurora Tate. Lutcher High School
has a total of 18 pieces of art entered into the art show!
 All seniors who took pictures with Romaguera Photography September 23 should have received their
proofs by now. If you have not, please ask your 1st block teacher. Orders should be placed by October
11. You may turn in your order to the front office or Mrs. Clement in room 705 before school, during
lunch or after school. Even if you are not purchasing you need to turn your proof in with the image
you would like to use for the yearbook.




Volleyball game today away vs. Morgan City at 4:30. Please dismiss players and managers at 2:10.
Middle School girl's basketball tryouts will be held on Wednesday, October 15. If you intend to tryout
please sign up in Coach Buckner's room. A physical is required for tryouts. Please pick up your physical
form from the front office. If you currently play middle school volleyball and want to try out for
basketball, please let Coach Buckner know.
Any 9th-12th-grade girl interested in playing softball needs to sign up in Coach O’s room 507 by Friday,
October 17. If you do not sign up by the 17th you will not be allowed to play softball in the spring.
Softball conditioning will begin October 27. Girls will need a physical to participate in conditioning.
