Now people can see advertisement every day and everywhere, such as on television,
billboard, magazines, newspaper, and on the website. “the average American is
exposed to 3000 ads every day…” this means people who are easy to be influenced by
advertisement because it appears so many times. In other words, if the same
advertisement appears many times, people will have a deep expression of the ads,
such as its lines, introduction, songs and celebrities, so that advertisement makes
people have a great chance to buy the product which people see many times.
Moreover, if the advertisements are formed with beautiful and mysterious version and
seemed effectual, there are also affecting people to buy the product. The
advertisements are the way that makes people have interest to buy the product.
Different product directs to different market and the market of Female usually is the
biggest market. Most of Female loves clothes, perfume, make-up, jewels and shoes.
Also, there are some elements which are attracting female very much, for example,
elegant, mysterious, beautiful, and the charming man in the ads. Therefore, the
advertisement I chose to introduce was about the perfume.
The advertisement is simple with few words and a female and a product. The brand of
perfume is Dior which is one of the famous brands in the world. The main market of
ads is direct to the female and a small part of male market which some males are
willing to buy the perfume for their loves. The main color in the picture is gold and
also the color for the perfume. The gender of people in the picture definitely is female
and she is the famous model. She is beautiful and elegant. So it can stimulate celebrity
effect and empathy effect. Since the color of perfume is gold, she shapes herself look
like the perfume with gold hair, gold skin and gold necklace. She makes perfume
seem to be an elegant and fabulous female. The advertisement seems to say that if you
buy it, you can be the girl in the picture.
Moreover, the brand name is on the right side. Since the Dior already became one the
most famous brands in the world, there isn’t many words and introduction in the
picture. Indeed, the shape of this perfume in the picture already became a significant
shape and many females will know this brand when see this perfume. Thus, it doesn’t
need many words to introduce. And there are two slogans in French under the brand
name. “J’adore” can translate as “the real me” and “LE FEMININ ABSOLU” can
translate as “it makes female be more fascinating.” This two French catch the female.
Every girl wants to be fascinating and the girl in the picture is fascinating. Many girls
might want to be the girl in the picture and the slogan in the picture attracts girls to
buy the perfume. Of course, it also can attract male. Some males might want their
loves who become charming and fascinating. Therefore, they will be willing to buy
the perfume for their female family members or their wife.
In conclusion, simple ads that still can attract many people to buy it, especially with
the famous level of the brand or famous person. Sometimes simple advertisement can
make people have more interest in product because simple sometimes can define as
mystery in the advertisement. Also, following beauty is the nature for human. The
beautiful elements in picture can make people more focus. Therefore, the ads of most
of female product are looking for beautiful model. And many female will be willing to
buy the product because of the beauty.
