Volunteer Job Descriptions: Unit Directors Football - (at minimum 4- one each unit) General Purpose: Unit director functions as liaisons between the VP of field Ops, football coaches, and parents. Responsible for attending their assigned team scheduled practice and games. Responsible for helping distribute cheerleading uniforms and any other equipment need. Attend league meeting with cheer directors when possible. Team Communications Coordinator (at minimum 4 -one per unit) Role overview: Liaison between the Board and Football Coach with respect to Huron braves announcements and events- making sure the Huron Braves information is communicated to the coach and parents at the end of practices. Secondly, initiate personal communication emails, phone calls) with parents each week to confirm their volunteer commitments. Expectations everything needed (e.g., weekly reminders, volunteers and their contact information) is provided by the VP of OPS & Admin in the form of an email that arrives several days in advance of game day. Concessions Coordinator: Ensures that customer service standards are being met. Assigns concessions volunteers to specific jobs. This job may involve preparing a grocery list and shopping for home games. Concessions coordinators will also assist in setting up or breaking down the concessions stand on game day. Two volunteers may be needed for this job for the season. Concession Sales Volunteer: You may be asked to take orders, make change, deliver food to windows, wrap food, make popcorn, stock drinks, etc… Chain gang: This team of 3 will take on field measurements of down placement. Referees will assist you as needed. You are required to be on the field 10 minutes prior to the game start time. This position is a full game position. 50/50 Sales: Report to the Concessions Stand 5 minutes prior to game start. Stroll through the home and visitor stands selling raffle tickets or station yourself at the gate to separate tickets, collect money and make change. At the beginning of the 3 rd quarter bring sold tickets and money to the concessions stand. (This is subject to change at any time) Shout Outs: Report to the concessions stand 5 minutes prior to game start. Report to the concessions stand and plan on grilling burgers and hot dogs for one half/game on our beautiful new gas grill! Apparel Sales/Sprit Tent: Sell Huron Braves apparel during games. Collect money and make change. Referee: Home game responsibility for refereeing the Jr. Freshman game. Prior experience desired. Field Clean Up: (scrimmage only): Pick trash after the scrimmage and secure in the trash area. Marketing/Event/Fundraising Coordinator (Create/set up a process that will support the marketing needs of the organization. Schedule fundraising events for the organization. Business donations (per non profit status. Fundraising sales, car wash, tag day raffles, bake sales etc. Fundraising letters/Community Letters/Fliers. Event Planning Coordinator (Schedule, plan season events which include homecoming, coach’s appreciation, local parades festivals, banquets, etc..) Present requests/budget to the VP/BOD for approval. Volunteer Coordinator (Create a process to request and document parent volunteers during the season) Video Scout Team: video tape the brave’s upcoming opponent’s football game and distribute film to coaches.
